I'm all for climate change and sea levels rising. I was banking on my place to be waterfront location in 10 years, dam it! Oh well, like you said, my future blood will reap the rewards of climate change and who said climate change is a bad thing.

I might buy a diesel vehicle to help speed up the process.

Salad, beachside does not necessarily mean at the mercy of rising sea levels. There are plenty of reclaimed swamps that are nowhere near the beach that are far more at risk.

Former Prime Minister Julia Gillard buys $2 million beachside house in her home town of Adelaide

JULIA Gillard has turned her back on working-class Altona for a $2 million beachside bungalow in Adelaide.

Ms Gillard and partner Tim Mathieson are believed to have snapped up this week the four-bedroom, three-bathroom home, complete with an award-winning solar and gas-heated Freedom Pool, with starting block and swim jets.

Since being tossed out of The Lodge, Ms Gillard has been living in the modest brick Altona house in south-western Melbourne, which she purchased in 1998 for $140,000.

But she is now set to move into a more luxurious abode, following in the footsteps of Kevin Rudd, who purchased a $2.175 million mansion in Canberra's leafy Yarralumla after losing the prime ministership.

There was a time when Gillard and her troops tried to scare us about rising sea levels. Many coastal areas would be underwater we were told. If we didn't believe those general warnings the government trotted out Professor Flim Flannery to issue specific warnings about rising sea levels.

What a bunch of phuking hypocrites.

Here are the latest estimates of sea level rise in South Australia for the year 2100
http://www.ozcoasts.gov.au/climate/Map_images/Adelaide/mapLevel2.jsp

Can you show us where Ms Gillards house is and whether or not she is taking an unwise risk for how her house may be impacted when she is 140 years old?

Or are you just making stuff up?

I wonder it tim is even going?  There is little to no mention of him anywhere and now that she is not in public life, will he be surplus to requirements?

Interesting call....

There is more mention of Peter Credlin than Margie Abbott.....

What does that say to you??

Cheesy

I think it says that Peta Credlin is chief of staff of the odds-on next PM and that Margie is the non-participating wife of that person.

tim gets the occasional mention but most times because it is ASSUMED he is tagging along.  But since he goes everywhere she goes and is rarely seen or heard it does beg the question of whether or not it is all legit.

expect a 'separation due to differences' any day now.
