And assuming that Julias new house is near her mums place it will be at least one street back from the beach in the protected St Vincents Gulf.
Suburban Adelaide beaches do not have houses built on them unlike some other areas of Oz.

Nice house....

it looks quite nice.  it would cost you $10M in Sydney but under $2M in Adelaide.

Shes got a lifetime of $500,000 a yr to spend so I doubt she'll have trouble paying the rates.

if her pension is only $173.000 a year .. where does this extra 327.000 a year come from crow?

question too hard crow??

So - let's take the mid-range estimate of 80cm rise by 2100:

http://www.ozcoasts.gov.au/climate/Map_images/Adelaide/2.4m/jpg/150dpi/adelaide_...

It doesn't appear that she is a "phuking hypocrite" at all - does it Salad In

I run training courses in surface water flow modelling and that map looks like it was drawn by an intern.  apart from the fact that the 80cm figure is a guess based on faulty data, that map is way off target.  For one thing it neglects to handle tidal changes which once they have breached the beach would vary inundation by several kilometres of what is a very, very flat Adelaide plain.  I am near the foothills and with double that level (1.6) Id have water at my door.

That's if it rose 80cm overnight. What if it took a few decades? Do you do sand flow modelling also? The sand moves a long way up and down the beach with every storm and big swell period. The beach in no way "hold's back" the water, as there is always a creek or river for the water to get in. Unless you are right on the beach or the headlands move, it is your height above sea level that matters.

I repeat that the modelling looks amateurish with no attempt to model beach movements or other such effects.  it has simply taken todays elevations and moved them inland.  a teenager could do that.

I wonder it tim is even going?  There is little to no mention of him anywhere and now that she is not in public life, will he be surplus to requirements?

learn to read you moron

Ms Gillard and partner Tim Mathieson are believed to have snapped up this week

tim gets the occasional mention but most times because it is ASSUMED he is tagging along.  But since he goes everywhere she goes and is rarely seen or heard it does beg the question of whether or not it is all legit.

expect a 'separation due to differences' any day now.

I expect you to grow a brain any day now ... in fact I've been waiting a while, but yet it's still to eventuate.

Tim gets an occasional mention because the person that is most likely to sell newspapers is Gillard. She is the celebrity of the couple. How often do you hear of Abbotts wife? once that I can recall, what about Brandis' wife ... oopps divorce is imminent .. what about Hockeys wife? Ohh nooo, another divorce.

you're an idiot longy. ... you'd be better off if you shut up and instead of trying to find pathetic excuses to justify your dumb comments.

I'll go with a separation in the next 6 months followed by a new 'woman' in her life.  Although a hairdresser is nearly there already!

Dillard has purchased a 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom home in the older suburb of Pasadena South Australia. Her new neighbour's must be out raged for devaluing their property and adding to the high level of risk of drive by's.

I think the story is viable enough to report, given the location of where she wants to buy the house at a beachfront, given the climate change believers like juliar herself and the zealots who fearmonger about rising sea levels you would think the last place they would buy a house or property is by the sea, where the dreaded sea levels would rise due to this supposed global warming by humans.
