So what is new about Recycled Rudd
Aug 13th, 2013 at 9:07am

I am still failing to see what is inspirational about the Old Rudd and now I am still failing to find anything New with the RecycledRudd

http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/opinion/why-labor8217s-goose-won8217t-fly/...

I can see why as RecycledRudd is struggling to find anything new.

Quote:
I introduced the GST so I know a good scare campaign when I see one. Keating was good in 1993. Beazley ran a cracker in 1998. He was less effective with "Rollback" in the 2001 election. The scare was running out of steam by the election of 2004 … and that was nearly ten years ago. Kevin has brought it back. "A New Way" turns out to be a very old scare campaign.

The only difference was back then Hewson was going to introduce a GST as was Howard ...... now the ALP support the GST but apparently never even reviewing it let alone adjusting it for any reason ......... and they call the libs conservative.

Even back then Rudd came to the rescue with his moral imperative out rage

Quote:
"When the history of this Parliament, this nation and this century is written, 30 June 1999 will be recorded as a day of fundamental injustice - an injustice which is real, an injustice which is not simply conjured up by the fleeting rhetoric of politicians. It will be recorded as the day when the social compact that has governed this nation for the last 100 years was torn up."

So when he got in power ....... nothing ....... and now that he is looking like losing ........ he wants to enshrine the GST and worship it.

It was a great article.  Costello was great to watch live in parliament and was a great debater.  You can still sense the old fire and rhetoric in his article.

On that score I stand corrected.

He also seems off his game, his spin doctoring is off the mark, maybe the damage gillard did just can't be politically repaired in such a short time.

It makes me wonder why he called the election earlier, does his experts tell him things are only just going to get worse for the ALP ?
