Sex appeal has a much broader meaning than just sexual attraction between people. A car, a house, a book, etc can all have "sex appeal". A person therefore can have sex appeal without necessarily being sexy. It can just mean the ability to excite or grab attention. Even if taken as actual biological sexual attraction, men can have sex appeal as well.

Abbott's comment is a bit stupid has he must know how the media will jump on anything to make a story. Especially if that story has anything to do with him and women. But sexist? no.

the slimy house painter does seem to have some significant problems with basic contextual argument as well as the meanings of many basic terms.

the way the OP misunderstood the term 'sexist' you'd think this was an SOB thread.  but instead, it is just john smith entertaining use with his uninformed, uneducated demonstration of how not to understand the meaning of words... again.

The abc panel put it best about two minutes ago

Minor gaff, nothing to worry about, won't have any impact, more than likely his daughter that was there will give him the biggest ribbing.

If the abc think it's nothing, it is obviously nothing.
