Labor was in government at the end of every year and deficit they sent each person a bill to recoup the cost of their over spending,

OR

If the libs were in power and at the end of each year they sent each person a cheque for the surplus they had

Its a no brainer isn't it?

howard had four. HAwke had one.  Rudd/Gillards combined deficits exceed all those of the post war period combined.

And Hawke was the first PM in this countries history to ever have a surplus...and all without the once in a lifetime Chinese boom to thank for his surplus.
Howard as treasurer had bigger deficits than Gough Whitlams govt   Grin
So anyone that claims the Libs have always been better money managers than Labor has absolutely no sense of history.
Take the Chinese boom (which had nothing to do with our govt) out of the equation and there is no difference between them.

Oops I almost forgot..Howard was also the highest taxing PM in this countries history...
Take away Labors more than 32 billion dollars of tax cuts which helped get us through the worldwide recession and there would've been surpluses every yr since 2007.
Decade long recession or tax cuts..what choice would Abbott make?..Well soon find out  Grin

Saying that Coalition govts always have had and always will have surpluses is as big a lie as interest rates will always be lower under Coalition govts.
Im just surprised that anyone still buys this rubbish after history has  proven it time and time again to be lies.
