Sorry, I didn't see Innisfail earlier ....

route 71 is the Mitchell Hwy ... although you are a long way from there . Maybe someone picked it up during a road trip?

It looks like it is designed to slot into something to prevent relative shearing movement. I'm thinking some kind of doorstop from a mining vehicle or similar.

Could also be an earthing rod.
