Well no, it doesn't go on and on.  That's why these links use the same handful of examples over and over again.  Indeed, the very fact that they need to provide lists confirms their status as outliers.

Could you point me to the part where they talk about the difficulty involved?  that's probably the reason why they say 'appropriately planned' whaddya reckon?

Sooo uh...was there some other point you wanted to make?  If not, I'll just once again remind you of the difference between the impossible and the difficult

Planning isn't "very difficult".

"It is very difficult to have a consistently healthy diet without animal protein in that diet ".    Undecided  No.  No it is not.

It is if you don't have the expertise to plan correctly....which nearly everyone thinks they do, but really don't.

Some people even think doctors are a good source of dietary advice - canya believe it?

Crazy, innit?

If you want dietary advice you go to a mechanic.  Everyone knows that.

While I wouldn't recommend it, it's not necessarily true:

The Inuit ParadoxHow can people who gorge on fat and rarely see a vegetable be healthier than we are?

No, you'd see a dietician.  But you'd be just as well served at a mechanic as a doctor - they have the same "heard it through the grapevine" understanding as anyone else.

Those crazy vegans:

"It is very easy for a vegan diet to meet the recommendations for protein as long as calorie intake is adequate. Strict protein planning or combining is not necessary. The key is to eat a varied diet."

http://www.vrg.org/nutshell/vegan.htm

They don't seem to be struggling.

You're right - they don't seem to be struggling to meet recommended protein requirements. But then, nobody said they would.

The vegetarians don't seem to find it "very difficult".

"Vegetarians easily meet their protein needs by eating a varied diet, as long as they consume enough calories to maintain their weight."

"It is not necessary to plan combinations of foods. A mixture of proteins throughout the day will provide enough "essential amino acids."

"(See "Position of the American Dietetic Association: Vegetarian Diets," JADA, July 2009; Simply Vegan, 2006; and nutrition information on VRG's website, www.vrg.org.)"

Once again, meeting recommended protein requirements =/= a healthy diet.

Greenhorns always make this mistake.
