"Vegetarians have lower rates of heart disease and some forms of cancer than non-vegetarians."

Hmmm, that sounds so unhealthy.

"Among a group of 70,000 participants, researchers determined that vegetarians had a 12% lower risk of death compared with nonvegetarians."

"Lower risk of death"?  Being alive sounds a lot healthier than being dead.

Planning isn't "very difficult".

"It is very difficult to have a consistently healthy diet without animal protein in that diet ".    Undecided  No.  No it is not.

It is if you don't have the expertise to plan correctly....which nearly everyone thinks they do, but really don't.

Some people even think doctors are a good source of dietary advice - canya believe it?

Ppl that eat only meat and no vegetables arent healthy. Anyone can be a poor planner no matter what they eat.

SOB

While I wouldn't recommend it, it's not necessarily true:

The Inuit ParadoxHow can people who gorge on fat and rarely see a vegetable be healthier than we are?

Well the 2 ppl i knew that only ate meat and no veggies werent healthy. They have vitamin deficiencies.

Clutching at straws there. To plan something appropriately does not imply "very difficult" or even difficult.

Once again:
Quote:
It is the position of the American Dietetic Association and Dietitians of Canada that appropriately planned vegetarian diets are healthful, nutritionally adequate, and provide health benefits in the prevention and treatment of certain diseases.

That statement (from an association of dieticians) doesn't gel with your remark:

Quote:
"It is very difficult to have a consistently healthy diet without animal protein in that diet ".

You could argue that a vegetarian diet can include certain animal proteins, but they say exactly the same about a vegan diet.

You could say the same thing about people who eat meat.  Too much meat can lead to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. This is well documented.

So you could equally state that an appropriately planned diet including moderate amounts of lean meat can reduce the risk of heart disease. Here "appropriately planned" does not mean difficult.

there is no contradiction or connection between your quotes and my assertions.

But if you disagree, please state the number of the assertion that it contradicts.  I think you'll find it's in full agreeance with #4.
