Spot the Double Digit ALP Margin

http://www.smh.com.au/federal-politics/electorate-map

Try playing with this map and spot the Double digit margin for the ALP

Also try to find the LNP/Nationals marginal.

I was Surprised AnPhoneyAlButKnees is on around 4% ...... Given he is NSW he could lose his seat easily.

I guess I could do it off a list but here is what I counted off the map

QLD 0
NSW 5
VIC 8
Tas 2

So only 15 seats are truly safe

These are the marginals for the LNP (4% or less) again its off a map (more interesting then a list)

wa 2
Vic 2
nsw 1
Qld 4

What I found interesting with the QLD LNP marginals is that they were right next door to LNP seats with double digit margins

If we are witnessing about a 4% swing on primaries this will cut the ALP double digit seats in half (assuming a uniform swing) while delivering a Coalition with very few marginals.

Assuming this happens, this will make it a big call for the ALP to be competitive in the election after the next.

I read an interesting article on crikey that claimed there is a chance of a hung parliament with Katter and Wilkie holding the balance of power.  It was interesting but Id have to say it was rather generous with labors hopes.  Bernard Keane seems to think Labor can win a swag in QLD and even get an 8% swing in WA!!!  I don't know whay he used essential medias poll when it is at odds with everyone elses.  there does however seem to be this insane almost desperate need to pretend that Labor can win despite all evidence being to the contrary.
