$180 for putting my foot on a seat on a train?????

From some fking wannabe cop called "Civic Compliance Officers"?

"Do you have anything to say for the record sir?"

"Yes. You're exactly the reason why this country is in the state it is. You're an absolute joke"

Fking good luck chasing me in Europe for this fine.

Fking police state joke of a country.

Foot on a seat???????!

!!!!!!!!

I think the term 'police state' has a more substantial definition than that. Speeding a few kms above an arbitrarily imposed limit in inherently safe conditions is far more onerous and still nowhere near the meaning of the term.

It seems like an over-reaction on both sides.

You don't want a big fine then keep your freaking feet on the floor. The seat is for backsides not your filthy shoes, so that can be transferred to the next poor slob to sit where your  chewing gum ridden feet have been planted.

Don't want the fine, don't do the crime.

Lucky you only got a fine Andrei and not a lesson from another passenger like me who takes great offense to people doing this and showing total disrespect for other passengers.

Unfortunately governments of late have decided to try and turn their police forces into a profit making enterprise, the unemployed shop lifter has been given carte blanche as arresting them will result in a net profit loss but the employed business man putting his feet on the seats is regarded as a profitable sale lifting the bottom line, he's just going to cough up, he isn't going to do community service thereby quadrupling his cost to the .Gov , same as road users, they may as well be milking cows, while they are driving home from work at 3 K's over the limit they are snapped and charged accordingly, meanwhile some drug addict front bottom is stealing their TV but theres no money in chasing that crime.

And what has all this got to do with you IGNORANT

The facts are Adrei didn't put his feet on the seat, it was lie created by the ignorant security guard.
That's need to learn some respect for people in this country.

But its  alright for you to show disrespect to other passengers by verbably or phyically abusing them, your no better than the ignorant security guard.

any normal person wouldn't have fined adrei , after all he didn't vandilise, or damage the train seat in any way. if he had it would be a different situation.

why can't this countrys people show respect to other people?

Why can't adults show respect for public property and basic social norms.

they can all you have to do is show some respect to them.

No.

They have to earn that respect, by not putting their feet up on the seat on public transport.

Why is this so hard for you to understand?

Do you put your feet up on seats too?

NO greg I don't put my feet on seats and you greg have no right to the assumption that some one does.

earn some respect, sorry its you than need to learn some respect for people out their, your not king muck,

or it just someone else's perceived attitude too them.

what would you have done greg fined him or did the decent thing and asked him to remove his feet.

Fined him; the maximum penalty.  No questions asked.

An adult who thinks it's OK to put their feet up on the seat on public transport needs to learn some hard lessons, fast.

I still can't believe that he put his feet on the seat in the first place.

Makes me wonder about his upbringing.

you then greg are the definition of a ignorant Australian that shows no respect to anyone.

a decent Australian would tell him the error of his ways and move on.

complete stupidity.

A decent adult would understand that it's not acceptable to put one's feet up on the seat when riding on public transport.

A decent adult would not need to have this explained to them.

As I said, no surprises in the OP then.

(By the way, I don't think you actually know what "ignorant" means.)

well greg here is one definition of ignorant.

The ignorant security guard assumed that adrei put his feet on the seat, the ignorant security guard then assumed that adrei had vandalised or damage the train seat, therefore the ignorant security guard fined him.

if you assume you make a ass out of you and me

completely unesessary fine,

I would have:

1/ Asked the offender to remove his feet from the seat. Compliance = no further action.

2/ Non-compliance and/or an attitude, I would fine.

3/ If attitude/non-compliance continued, the offender would be removed from the train at the next stop.

I only once had to put a bloke (two, actually) off a train, but they were harassing/threatening other passengers, not
just breaching by-laws.

well at least kat has the common sense approach,
are their any other decent people on this forum, that's right kat, boag and me,

A young child?  Sure.  They probably don't know any better yet.

Hicks is an adult, and he tells us that he's a globe-trotting businessman (which I don't believe at all now, anyway).

If he doesn't know the "error of his ways" by now, he needs to learn a hard lesson.  I would have fined him, and then thrown him off the train.

What sort of adult puts their feet up on the seat?  Seriously?

thats the point greg maybe he didn't put his feet on the seat or vandalise the train seat in anyway, but we all assume he did.

what pompass fcks you all are.
