Only Greens ... are you sure.

Bott spent 3 years in a homosexual hotbed, aka Manly's St Patrick’s Seminary.

And we know Abbott got punched in the ring a few times.

and then there are all the gay Liberals

Gay Liberal MP supports marriage equality

Mandates are impossible to define if you are looking for an absolute hair-splitting formula.  However if you are an honest and ethical person, mandates are not that hard to work out at all.

and if you don't understand this, then you probably never will.

So claiming a mandate is just political spin.

see... I know that as a gay green you would find it impossible to understand the concept of and ethical/moral position!  Thanks for proving my point.

Ethical and moral are not exclusive to your narrow view of the world so claiming it to yourself you are revealing your lack of understanding of the views around you.

Ethics and morality has nothing to do with political spin and claiming a mandate is just political spin.

Abbott is just trying to spin so to try and wedge Labor.

You are showing you are just here to play word games without substance.

Ethics and morals are relative to a person's view to the world.

Your vision of ethics and morality are exclussive to your narrow view of the world and are not the template for all of humanity.

You have no monopoly on morals and ethics so stop pretending you have.

If the ALP gets thumped as predicted in the polls, they'd be insanely stupid to block legislation to repeal the carbon tax. After all, the Coalition did not block Labor from abolishing WorkChoices! One would expect Labor to do the decent thing and listen to the people, for once.

This mandate thang is dishonest cr#p. Many people who vote for the Libs this election would still prefer the carbon tax and ETS to stay (but vote lib for other reasons). Indeed many will vote Lib in the lower house and Greens (or any of the other left leaning minor parties) in the senate with the specific purpose to block Abbott's repeal legislation. Truth is after the election we will still be none the wiser on where the majority stands on the carbon tax and the ETS.  That's why when they tell you that this system is a democracy it's grade A Cr#p.  Christine Milne said on the 7.30 report last night that there was no way the Greens would vote to scrap the carbon tax. If Labor caves on this BS mandate argument we need to hit the streets.

Actually, there is one mandate involved; the Governor General gives a mandate to form a government to the one who can prove they have the support of a majority in the House of Representatives. Pretending that mandate covers individual policies is perversion.

Tony Abbott has yet to release an election promise, as yet undisclosed. He is going to colonise Mars with Greenies where they can run around in the rarified air up there and eat green cheese. Wink

really?  so all those polls over the past few years and months that say that the CT is hated and wanted to be repealed are nonsense?  You greenies don't really go with the whole 'majority rule' thing, do you?

And round and round we go.

What mandates? This term of parliament has seen a hung parliament in which no one has a majority and therefore no one has a mandate. Try getting it right once in a while.

What about labors mandate to introduce an ETS? selective memory there armpit ... it must be nice to pick and choose
