Liberals were not in power 2007-2013.

The ALP was.

They have as a result increased debt by 335% and by $330,000,000,000.
They have missed their own forecasts in this parliament by $107,000,000,000.
They have delivered 6 deficits in 6 budgets.

They promised a surplus of $1,500,000,000 in 2013. They delivered a deficit of ($31,000,000,000).

Saying "what have the Liberals done?" is irrelevant.

Governments get re-elected on the back of their own record.
The above is theirs.

It also goes some way to explaining why they face a devastating loss.

If they actually were voted on their record, Labor would be the ones winning in a landslide.

But we're not voting on the ability to govern, or the facts.

We're voting for greed, ignorance and self-interest.

History will not judge Rudd/Gillard/Rudd as our 'worst Govt ever'.

But it probably will judge this (correctly) as the stupidest electorate ever.

Complete crap like this post above just amazes me, I wish I was a psychologist so I could understand it better but I doubt even they could, how is it possible for someone to really believe something as absurd as that?, what forces are at work here that can so completely corrupt ones thought process's to such an extent?

Hard to see how anyone of sound mind could vote for them ... easy to see how anyone of unsound mind could though  Grin

When you consider just what they took over and what they are leaving, the reason they face electoral wipe out is evident.

and before I forget it.. THE DEBT.. HE HAS GOT US INTO...

The private sector, whether it is business or households, is in far greater debt than the government.

The Labor government has to accumulate loads and loads of debt before it starts becoming a problem.

Look at that red curve at the bottom of the graph. Amazing!!! It has never gone above 20% of GDP, even under Labor.

I see you didn't answer the question .. you mention Rudd getting the country into debt, therefore its perfectly reasonable that I ask you if you think we would have debt if the libs had won in 2007.

Only towards you pig-ignorant grubs who blindly support Abbott despite the facts.

I'm just fine with everyone else.

It's you who are the problem, not me.

As for you, Ignorant Loiterer, just go smack yourself.

It'll probably be the only one you ever get.

You seen the way Australians are going to vote this weekend?!

Must be a lot of Eskimos in Australia these days, because the Government is facing a potential wipe out.

Whether you like to admit it or not you don't deliver 6 deficits in a row and miss forecasts by hundreds of billions of dollars and face no consequences.

Governments run on records. People have made their minds up.

What is burying head in the sand are some people who think people are voting how they are because a newspaper told them to!

No, I reckon it's greed (wealthfare) and blatant, unadulterated self-interest.

And total, wanton, wilful ignorance of the facts.

Worst government ever? By no means.

Dumbest electorate ever? Most certainly.

So Kat what about the unemployed or low incomes who may vote for a party that gives them higher benefits.

Greedy? Self Interested?

Or do they get a free pass from that accusation because you like them?

No I haven't seen what is going to happen this weekend ... but I have seen what people think is going to happen.

there are other factors at play Andrei  ... if the election result was based solely on the Australian economy, Abbott wouldn't win a single seat

Doesn't matter who they vote for.

They'll only be kicked in the face either way.

Most probably don't bother. I wouldn't.

But lower incomes who want higher benefits and vote that way are self interested yes?

I vote for a party that gives me the most, so do low incomes.

We're all self interested. Why do you think the major parties play to us??

nope, please don't assume we are all like you .

I vote for whoever I think will benefit the majority over the individual.
