Liberal Party's 'sneaky' flyers shot down
Anti-Greens flyers, authorised by Victorian Liberal Party director Damien Mantach and sent to voters in the Kooyong electorate, do not feature the Liberal Party name or logo and have been described as ''sneaky''.
People who have received the flyers that read, "Don't risk the Greens, we can't afford them'', said the mailout was deceptive.
Hanna Ashton-Lawson, who received a flyer on Tuesday, said she felt she was targeted because she was the only person in her household of four to receive it.
"It's sneaky not putting the party name on the flyer and I wasn't impressed getting it in the mail,'' she said.
The flyers state they were authorised by Victorian Liberal Party state director Damien Mantach, but there are no explicit references to the Liberal Party.
Australian Greens Victoria state director Larissa Brown said she was not surprised and it was just ‘‘more sneaky behaviour’’.
The seat of Kooyong is held by Liberal Party MP Josh Frydenberg by a margin of 7.5 per cent.
Liberal Victoria did not respond to requests for a comment.
