I hope Clive phucks Abbott big time! He will not do it in the HoR, but he will be a pest in the Senate. Also, as I've been saying in other Threads, there is a realistic chance Clive can take Fairfax (from the Libs) and Fisher (from the Libs ~ Slipper/Brough) the two Sunshine Coast seats in my dung hill......blue ribbon Liberal territory phucked over by LNP neglect and lousy representation by Somlyay (retiring) and Slipper, respectively.

He has not done as well as one nation did but he has achieved a lot in a very short period.

He is a nutter if you ask me, he needs better people around him but maybe he has and he doesn't listen to them.

He seems to be onto something.

I hope he gets in with some hard core political strategists and broadens the party appeal.

It will be interesting to see how he goes at the next election.

Galaxy and Newspoll are Murdoch owned, independent polling companies are saying the election results will be much closer than reported by Murdoch.

Why wouldn't they vote for him? he's no more looney than the person who is about to become prime minister.

I bet he gets more than 6%, I know quite a few people who are voting for him, right whingers too, but he's got a couple of good ideas.

If I had to choose between Clive and Tony, it would be Clive, no doubt.

Id be surprised is Galaxy was owned by Murdoch especially since the source is so unreliable. But at the end of the day, Galaxy is THE most accurate poll so it means nothing.

Only 22.7% of survey respondents will give Labor their primary vote, 7.3% fewer than said they had voted that way in 2010.

The Coalition also has suffered a 4.7% fall in support since 2010, down now to 41.7%.

Those numbers would leave it vulnerable to a surge in support for Palmer United Party which attracted 14.6% support in the survey and is also trending past double figures in scientific polls.

It would pick up all minor party preferences including Greens (9.7%), Katter United Party (2.9%), independents (2%) and eventually Labor's.

Wow... when the mining tax first entered the news, Clive and the Ginas etc were like talked of like they were saints... how many times on here did people say that people like him (mining companies etc) "saved Australia?"

Now that he is in electoral competition with the Liberals, he's suddenly ranked amongst the bad guys.

How soon we forget how much we all owe the Clives of Australia.

The public are so fickle.

Clive gives conservative minded people an alternative as Abbott is not everyone's cup of right wing tea, in fact by any measure he is more socially progressive then Howard/Costello.

He seems to get away with being a nutter.

If the next evolution of his party moves on from this ...... he could easily double his voter base, especially if Abbott does not deflate the guy. I doubt Abbott would want to attack him slush fund style like he did to one nation. this guy does seem cashed up. the Libs may have a big problem with this party, also the nationals.
