Threatened Species Day
Sep 5th, 2013 at 8:51pm

Threatened Species Day is a national day held each year on 7 September to commemorate the death of the last remaining Tasmanian tiger (also known as the thylacine) at Hobart Zoo in 1936.

http://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/threatenedspecies/ThreatenedSpeciesDay.htm

Why are threatened species important?
Threatened species are an important component of biodiversity. Once they become extinct they are gone forever. Today most species become threatened because of habitat destruction and the invasion of non-native species. With effective management, however, almost all threatened species can be saved.
Threatened Species Day 2013
OEH is celebrating a number of key threatened species initiatives throughout September 2013.

Threatened species day should be invoked every time a new batch of introduced trout are released in the Vic and NSW river systems.

Native Australian fish MUST have some native only systems free from invasive pest species.

The systematic stocking of introduced trout is a national dam disgrace.

Species like the Macquarie Perch and Blue Nose cod need to be given every chance to flourish.

I remember a certain party that fully supported labor in deliberately extinguishing the last few pockets of 3 endangered species in QLD.

They denied their involvement in this extinction of our wildlife by saying they would only support labor in the marginal seats but not in the seat the destruction was to happen. As if that would make everything ok and the species would be miraculously saved.

A more vile and despicable party of scumbag hypocrites you will not find anywhere else on earth.

So on this threatened species day remember the greens who would sell their grandmother to a turkish brothel if the were a few extra votes in it for them or at least get name in the paper.

Your choice of words as pointed out contradicts your point.

Well done for shooting yourself in the foot.

p.s that election from years ago was not a referendum on one thing and the environmental impact of conservative policies were worse and would of created even greater destruction that labors plan ... which didn't come into being.

The bright part of your post is you had to dig so deep and couldn't find anything from this term to find fault of The Greens.

So thats a 100% positive tick from you ... thank you

Pleasant wet dreams.

Melbourne voters go Green over Libs' decision to back Labor

Liberal voters are ignoring Tony Abbott's request to put the Greens last on their ballot papers: as many as four in 10 in the federal seat of Melbourne planning to preference the Greens ahead of the ALP.

Not according to lib voters.

You go to a queensland election three terms ago to try and twist a preference deal where Greens preference Labor last in the Mary Dam electorate and tried to make out Greens supported the dam.

Now that is grasping for straws.

Meanwhile you can not find one thing wrong with federal Greens in this term.

And this from someone who reckons he is anti Greens.

If our biggest hater can't find fault then thats a tick for The Greens.

Thank You

You seem to forget that I also found fault with the idiot greens costing policies, but you tend to ignore things like that,

It is a pretty big deal when the greens are complicant in the extinction of  not 1 but 3 native species.

Queensland Greens didn't, they preferenced Labor last in the dam seat.

The other electorates, Greens preferenced depending on local to that electorate and state issues.

And what fault did you find in costings?
