Would anyone notice if he resigned ?

Nope. Well maybe with the exception of a few radio talk show hosts.  Roll Eyes

Uncle John

Yes and some sky news Journo's looking for their next youtube hit using the moron.

But as I said before, the ALP could put up the B1 and B2 to lead the party. I could not care less, its the party that needs to calibrate itself to the electorate.

I remember one place I left back in the 90's they called me 2 months later with a big offer for me to come back.

I laugh at it as the main reason I left was a personality conflict with a grub, the grub was still there and after 2 months 2 people had already come and gone.

In all honesty you have to be a dead brained moron to want to lead the ALP right now, maybe that makes Shorten the best candidate.

Maybe you should lead the ALP, you seem to qualify, no idea why you want to dress up as Tone and Joe.

Yes, and he is unfit to lead the Labor party, let alone ever be PM. The man effectively knifed two sitting PMs in a row, and has no integrity, respectability or credibility. At least Swan, Emerson, Garrett and co stuck by Gillard until the end.

Now that, IS A TRUE STATEMENT!

Btw Sprinty, it may assist your thread, IF you said WHY Shorten should go?

I think he is fit to lead the current ALP (that is a very low bar) but your right, the goose is not fit to be PM, neither is the ALP fit to govern...... that goes back to about 1996 or earlier if you ask me.

That's  just normal Politics Sprinty!

BUT, it's not what we need, from any Politician, Labor &/or Liberal!

The question is, how do we get rid of that sort of thinking?

Political nous aside, Gillard was a far better leader than Rudd. Can't blame Shorten for being in the Gillard camp. At the end Gillard had become unelectable and no one was listening. Rudd was a potential short circuit that might have switched the spotlight back onto Abbott. We'll never really know how many Labor seats Rudd's return was able to save. Again, it's hard to blame Shorten for taking action rather than choosing to let things slide out of control.

The Coalition would love nothing more for political discourse to be stuck on Shorten, his pies and his pesonal life. Makes it so much easier to avoid proper scrutiny.

MOTR

Are you for real ?

Gillard was the worse leader the ALP ever had by every measure and for an ALP person that is quite an achievement.

I think Shorten could be worse the signs are there.
