Pointing out that Tanya Plibersek's husband is a convicted criminal is not a personal attack.
It is a statement of fact.
He is.
Cods has said on three occassions he was caught with drugs recently. Every time I have for her to provide evidence of this as there is none in any news paper. Every time she has ignored the repeated requests from I and others to quantify her answer.
It was another case in point of someone who will throw out a line to smear someone and it didnt matter if it was true or not.
Here you are:
Quote:TANYA PLIBERSEK’S HUSBAND MICHAEL COUTTS-TROTTER SPENT 2 YEARS 9 MONTHS OF A 9-YEAR JAIL SENTENCE FOR SELLING HEROIN.
Coutts-Trotter, despite spending nearly three years in jail for selling heroin
in the 1980s was -- two weeks after Labor won the election – parachuted by John Della Bosca, NSW Education Minister at the time, to the position of Director-General NSW Education. No prior knowledge of education required (although knowledge of the right people, was certainly required). This caused some minor stirring from NSW Teachers Federation with their then President, Maree O’Halloran saying a teacher with this background wouldn’t be allowed to teach.

And perhaps those of you who claim this information 'cannot be found/substantiated' --- you should save this. Because others certainly will
From the Sydney Morning Herald:
Quote:On their very first date, in 1991, Michael Coutts-Trotter told Plibersek that he had served almost three years of a nine-year prison sentence on a drugs charge. He'd done time in maximum-security jails like Long Bay, Bathurst and Parramatta ("A genuinely bleak place," he calls it) before ending up in Silverwater and work release. After being paroled in 1988, he spent a year at a Salvation Army rehab facility
