Stimulus doesn't necessarily mean debt.

During the ASian Meltdown - far worse for our region than the GFC - Howard and Costello had stimulus without debt.  Saying that you defeated the GFC and it only cost $300B sounds pretty lame compared to that.

And yes, stimulus doesn't necessarily mean more debt.  It can actually be the opposite.  It is just that Labor has no idea of how to spend less than you earn having only once in history ever achieved that.

Is it only one week since we said 'now the fun begins'?

Even Swanny didn't put the bite on China for a loan in his first week on the job.

A big, big stimulus spend........... that's what we need.

I can't wait for the backpedaling when Malcolm Turnbull takes over.

All those hundreds of posts criticising Swan for his stimulus spending......only to have to praise Hockey for his........... haha!!!!!!

Don't you hate it when your beloved party spits in your face? but you still have to stay faithful.

I'm having such fun with this and it's only the first of many  Grin

Infrastructure spending won't affect a surplus because it's capital outlay. It will affect debt though

With money essentially stolen from the taxpayer and welfare recips by selling assets, smacking the welfare system, and cutting infrastructure spending to nothing.

That's no way to run a country.

But these ultra-conservative fecksticks STILL think their failed and thoroughly discredited form of govt is what the county wants and needs.

Wrong on both counts, assholes.

Hockey will use money stolen from the poor and welfare recips, to stimulate businesses that neither need nor deserve it.

And the poor will continue to suffer homelessness and hunger, while being forced to carry the blame for the circumstances
they are forced into..

It's the Conservative Way, don't y'know.

Ok, so we can have a $600 billion debt and still come out in the black.

I don't think Hockey knows what the infrastructure will be yet.

It was always obvious that Abbott and Hockey rate below Laurel and Hardy on economics so what does anyone expect?

I used to enjoy it when longweekend58 made a fool of himself. He's so consistent that, now it's become quite boring.

There's spending then there's spending pansi, it won't be on a dogsh.t scheme like pink batts or every school gets a new hall whether they need one or not.

I'm sure we will save a dollar or two by not letting another  50,00 freeloaders turn up to be looked after  by the taxpayer for the rest of their natural lives. Smiley

How many times must these BS claims be debunked by experts before it finally sinks into the heads of the conservatives that they are, and have always been, 100% wrong with these claims?
