Looks like you missed this one FD. I'm sure it was a genuine oversight:

Thanks Gandalf. Greg is still at it. Do you think this one says it a bit clearer?

Is English your first language?

Do you think that consistently equating graffiti attacks with attacks causing multiple fatalities might undermine the ability of these statistics to accurately capture the terrorism problem?

No.

All terrorism is a problem.

I've explained this to you before.

I believe you posted the same statistics Gandalf. Would your justification for them differ from Greg's?

Looks like Karnal has swallowed Gandalf's load about it all being caused by racism.

Karnal wrote on Apr 11th, 2016 at 1:31pm:
Back in the 90s, it was the Vietnamese. Pauline Hanson focused solely on Asian immigration and Aboriginals. At that stage, the Arab population had not yet reached its tipping point (it wasn't in the tabloids enough). Now, the racists here pretend they've always loved hard-working Asians and are only here to complain about Muslims, or as FD puts it, to criticize Islam.

This, of course, is all a hoax. The tail is wagging the dog.

So, yes, I'd say religion actually has very little to do with this debate, and is only used as an excuse. What really gets up the racists' noses is the belief that people from other races are trying to get one over Whitey. This includes things like dressing in foreign clothes, making complaints about hospital procedures, and having the gall to migrate to a white country in the first place. The racists here are incensed that the tinted races refuse to know their place. Their preferred social order harks back to colonialism, when the tinted races deferred to the white man. If a member of a tinted race complains or doesn't keep his (or her) mouth shut, they're bucking this perceived social order. The racists, you see, have a huge sense of entitlement. They argue that they deserve their place because their ancestors invented things and were successful in business. They argue that they deserve their place because their ancestors were good at subduing populations by force. "We won", they say. "To the victor the spoils".

Nobody is a racist any more. People just recognise cultural differences.

Talk of racism shows a mindset stuck in pre-1960s thinking.  Just as there is class mobility, there is race mobility.

Even the ex head of Britain's Equality and Human Rights Commission (ie Race Commissioner), a black man and inventor of the term 'Islamophobia, is waking up to this:

For a long time, I too thought that Europe’s Muslims would become like previous waves of migrants, gradually abandoning their ancestral ways, wearing their religious and cultural baggage lightly, and gradually blending into Britain’s diverse identity landscape. I should have known better.
http://www.thesundaytimes.co.uk/sto/Magazine/Features/article1685107.ece?shareTo...

Now if you accept the reality that Phillips now does accept – and that mainstream opinion across Europe is coming to accept – would one particular answer not stand out as eminently sensible at this juncture? Such as turning that flow [of immigration] into the merest trickle? If a community is currently causing a lot of challenges and looks like posing them for many generations to come, why on earth would you not slow that 'steady reinforcement'? Other than out of fear that you might be branded an 'Islamophobe'?

In case you missed the 'vast majority of peaceful Muslims' in the news:

TWO thirds of British Muslims would not inform the police if they thought that somebody close to them had become involved with terrorist sympathisers, according to a poll.

Astonishing is right. But if you think about it, the dichotomy of 'vast majority of peaceful Muslims' and 'tiny minority of islamist terrorists' has always been a smoke screen. The 'tiny minority' could not function without the 'vast majority' that turn out to be sympathisers and concealers and defenders of the terrorists.

And you can't tell them apart right up until the bombs go off. That's why Trump and others call for a halt until we can figure out how to tell the difference between the minority of truly peaceful and law abiding Muslims (one third) and the rest.

In a Channel 4 documentary called What Britain’s Muslims Really Think, presenter Trevor Phillips presented survey evidence suggesting that large numbers of British Muslims don’t want to integrate and dislike Jews and that many thousands of them support extremist views including terrorism and suicide bombing.

The British Muslim community has responded in the usual way…

Smear the polling company

Cast doubt on the methodology

Hint that even asking these questions is divisive and Islamophobic

Nothing to do with Islam. It’s ‘cultural’, innit?

There’s no such thing as a ‘Muslim’

I have a degree in social sciences, majoring in grievance studies

Some Muslims are doctors, nurses, and teachers – so that makes everything nice

Whatabout…?

Lovely Nadija from Great British Bake Off make everything nice

Nothing to do with Islam. Did we mention this already? Well, it isn’t. And here’s some made-up stasticoids from a parti-pris organisation with affiliations to the Muslim Brotherhood…

I still remember certain members on here trying to dismiss the Pew Society as a right-wing think tank after they released their survey results.

Yet we would still have those coppers and courts even if those Muslims weren't present, now wouldn't we, Nicole?    Roll Eyes

Brian once argued that if we did not have Islam, those Aussie Muslims currently fighting for ISIS would be raping and pillaging their way across western Sydney for a completely different reason. Apparently it is in their genes and has nothing to do with Islam.

According to Gandalf this "peaceful majority of Muslims" we keep hearing about includes terrorism supporters.

As long as they are not violent, they are members of that "peaceful majority".

I wonder how you classify people who have committed no violence as "violent".   Roll Eyes
