Homosexuality is legal in Indonesia, except in Aceh and South Sumatra.

Sounds like a wonderful place, if homosexuality is only illegal in two states.

That ignores it was not so long ago when homosexual activity was a criminal offence in Australia.  You did know that, didn't you Effendi, and you just momentarily forgot, yeas?

Wink

How does it "ignore it" Aussie? Am I supposed to insert a moral equivalence into every post I make, just in case it makes Islam look bad?

Why not?  If you are gonna chuck stones, get outside a glass house.

I wonder if there are any other verses in the Koran that Mothra is afraid to offer an opinion on.

So why do Mothra, Aussie, Brian and the rest do this elaborate tapdance, but Greg has no problem calling it for what it is?

I have twice on this thread alone unreservedly condemned any suggestion of violence towards women.

Not answering your question was not a "tap-dance", FD. It was a particularly stupid question.

As was pointed out to you.

I recall seeing you squirm rather than give an opinion on the Koranic command to beat disobedient women. Of course you oppose violence towards women. Except when it comes from the Koran of course. Then the tapdancing begins.

I didn't squirm at all. I said it wasn't a command.

I see you still son't understand that.

You are still squirming, and you have still not offered an opinion on it, regardless of the label we give it.

The tapdancing continues. Who knows what elaborate footwork we will see from Mothra in the next post? My bet is an unreserved condemnation of violence towards women, but more excuses for why he cannot possibly criticise the Koran for commanding Muslims to beat women.

I'm not squirming in the slightest.

You are asking a stupid question. I am not going to answer a stupid question.

I have, despite what you say, openly criticised any suggestion of violence towards women twice on this thread alone. Wherever or whoever it comes from.

Just because i'm not jumping through the dodgy hoop you're holding tremourously for me doesn't mean i'm "tap-dancing".

You see FD, i hold people to account for what they say. Precisely what they say. We are dealing with the written word here. I say what i mean and i men what i say. I hold everyone on here to the same principle.

So you refuse to give your opinion on the Koranic command to beat disobedient women, at the same as insisting you will openly criticise any suggestion of violence towards women, regardless of where it comes from?

Focus FD. Do try. I'm firmly of the opinion that you're not very bright but even you should be able to follow this.

If it were a "command", then all Muslim men would beat "disobedient" women, yes?

I reiterate. It's a stupid question.

I have unreservedly given my opinion on any suggestion of beating women.

You're just having a little tanty because i don't agree with the terminology you are not so subtly trying to bully me into agreeing with.

Even by your standards, this is pathetic.

Use any label you want. We did earlier in the thread. It made no difference. Either way, you are afraid to offer your opinion on it.

islam grew out of the mind of a practicing moon god worshiper muhammad.

muhammad reinvented his moon god as being a monotheistic deity who hated all people who did not worship him. allah urges muslims to kill unbelievers.

muhammad kept many of the pagan customs of the ancient moon god cult.

It is true that muhammad made a pathetic attempt at plagiarizing the works of the Jews and Christians, however he emphatically stated their holy books were corrupt.

he preached that Christians were to be murdered for stating / believing that Christ was the son of allah. (this is an outright lie as Christians all believed that Christ was the son of Y.H.W.H.) so Christians have been slaughtered by muslims simply because muhammad was a liar.

islam is todays' version of the ancient moon god cult which muhammad belonged to.

ahh ... so now FD's run away from the other three threads he's got going with the same comment, and moved it onto here

are you worried your bullshit would have been obvious to everyone if you had kept the comment in the original thread where it was made, so people could see the unedited version fd?

Pre-Islam Arabia was a comparatively tolerant society in which all manner of pagans, christians and jews lived together, despite their differences. They had longstanding traditions of putting aside their differences and coming together in collective worship.

Muhammad turned Mecca and the Kaaba, the very centre of this peaceful tradition of collectivism, into the centrepiece of his new, absolutely hostile monoculture. Mecca and surrounds were soon ethnically cleansed of all non-Muslims and remained that way to this day. Muslims still make pilgrimages there today to celebrate the intolerance of Islam.
