Perhaps the problem is you don't like your Islamophobia being exposed for what it is?   Roll Eyes

What is also interesting is that you invariably suggest that those who ask you the question whether or not you mean all "Muslims", are "apologetics" for wanting to clarify if you suffer from Islamophobia or not.

Tsk, tsk.  Perhaps Soren could help?  Afterall, he's a trick-cyclist by trade, supposedly.  Problem is, he appears more in need of that profession than anyone else here.   Tsk, tsk.   Roll Eyes

Yeah - what IS Islamophobia?

An irrational fear of people who are Muslim, Soren.  Surely you know what you suffer from, don't you?  Tsk, tsk.   Roll Eyes

Quote:
Why is there no, say, 'Sikhophobia'? They look funny too, dress silly and have silly beliefs.

Talk to the people who keep mistaking them for Muslims, Soren.  Perhaps they can tell you why they fear people who wear beards, turbans and have strange and different beliefs to them.  Why do you fear them?   Roll Eyes

Quote:
But there is a huge difference between Muslims and Sikhs, causing the former to be suspected/hated/feared/in the news all thee time while the latter is barely noticed (even though they, too, come from a country partitioned by the British).

Never known any Sikhs, have you Soren?   Punjabi separatism was and still is a very topical issue with them.  Don't forget who killed Indira Gandhi...

Quote:
Can you guess the reason, Brian? Clue - it;s to do with how they conduct themselves.

Most Sikhs conduct themselves very well, I agree.  Most Muslims do as well.   However, to you, Muslims appear to represent the very epitome of evil for some strange reason.

I'll ask you again, Soren, how many Muslims do you actually know well enough to talk to them about their religious beliefs with?   Indeed, how many Muslims do you know at all?  Any?    Roll Eyes

Why are you so toe curlingly stupid, Brian? Was it your mamma who gave you the stupid complex,  or compulsive onanism, some other early psychic trauma? What? Your online fake doctorate points to all of these, with a narcissistic compulson to self-validate in public. There are all sorts of retentive, repressive clues here, Brian.

I was going to copy this to the spineless apologetics thread. But you saved me the effort. Thanks Brian. How often do we need to do global surveys of the opinions of Muslims for you to believe it is what they really think? I suppose it's being going for 1400 years or so.

Brian do you have an opinion on the survey result, other than observing the year? Do you spinelessly apologise for the millions of Muslims holding these backwards, dangerous views? Can you bring yourself to criticise them, or do you somehow lack the right and the ability?

Freediver, unlike you, I don't try and judge people at every opportunity.  When you attempt to understand why people hold opinions different to your own, you might start to realise that it isn't all the fault of the religion they follow.

Something starting with an "E" might give you a clue.   Not everybody gets a good one and those that get any of one, often are taught bad things.    Tell me, what do you think of the message that this man taught his followers?

You judge people constantly. The vast majority doing what you consider acceptable. The tiny minority doing what you consider unacceptable. All the unacceptable criticism of Islam and Muslims.

But presented with a survey showing what Muslims actually think, you  suddenly realise you have no right or ability to criticise other religions and other countries. Why is that Brian?

Are you saying Muslims are bad because they get an Islamic education, but this has nothing to do with Islam?

Do you have the right or ability to criticise other religions and other countries?

You know, what I find interesting is your drive to display your Islamophobia all the time, FD.   You seem to take real pride in showing how little you know or understand about ordinary people, let alone Muslims.   Tsk, tsk.  What you think about Islam and Muslims impresses no one, other than the fools who are as ignorant and foolish as yourself.    Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Here's my standard question for you, FD.  How many Muslims do you know personally?  Any at all?

Do you need to know any Scientologists in order to form a judgement on Scientology, Brian? Marxists, fascists, nazis, pedophiles, mass murderers, racists, sexists - have you discussed all these things with a requisite number of devotees, Brian?

How did you get to be so stupid, conceited and lacking in any semblance of self-awareness?
