I already provided first hand accounts from witnesses/journalists of what was said. You are the one doubting corroborated anecdotal evidence.

I will be eager to see the text or hear a media account of them preferably during your blubbering apology for ever doubting them.

Can anyone explain this? Both Brian and Gandalf keep going on about how I misunderstand, but go all quiet on me whenever I ask them to clarify the misunderstanding.

Everyone is entitled to their own views and their comments seem fairly straight forward. Of course outsiders have to accept that some of the fundamentalists go to the extremes in their treatment of people, but what are we supposed to do about it? Insist they become democratic like us and impose our will on them by force? It certainly hasn't worked in Afghanistan or Iraq.

Not defending their right to do it would be a good start.

Brian is a moral contortionist. It's what he gets off on. He doesn't need sex. Brian thrives on annoying people by being deliberately counter-intuitive to common sense and common knowledge.

When it comes to finding impossible reasons to excuse the Bad Guys he'll happily twist himself into a human pretzel rather than admit that a Negro, or a Muslim, or an Aborigine might be wholly at fault for a crime they have committed.

Somewhere in the primordial swampland of Brian's diseased psyche there's a Voice that tells him that the ultimate blame for all wickedness and evil in this world can be sheeted back to the Anglo-Saxons and their British Empire.
