I am going to great effort to not just answer your question, but to make sure you are satisfied with the answer before we move on. Are you satisfied with my explanation for why I included two quotes in the one post?

No.  However, I am satisfied that from your tap-dancing we will never receive a true answer about it, from you.   Perhaps one day, when your diaries are published, we will truly know but I'm not holding my breath!   Grin Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin Grin Grin

In response to an article about the al-Nusra front capturing Fijian UN peacekeepers in an effort to get delisted as a terrorist organisation:

Brian Ross wrote on Sep 3rd, 2014 at 7:47pm:
I suppose it could have been worse.  The Israelis might have shelled the UN compound again when it was sheltering civilians, like they did in 1996:

Quote:
The 1996 shelling of Qana or the First Qana massacre,[1][2] took place on April 18, 1996 near Qana, a village in Southern Lebanon, when the Israeli Defence Force fired artillery shells at a United Nations compound. [1][2] Of 800 Lebanese civilians who had taken refuge in the compound, 106 were killed and around 116 injured. Four Fijian United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon soldiers were also seriously injured.[3][4]

You are confused HB. It is not a hate thread. It is a suppository of Brian's wisdom. As you can see, it is starting to pay off, with others also acquiring his knowledge:

Where is Abbott's aid and weapons for them?

Shows you how incompetent the UN.

There is a big buffer zone between the area of israel and lebanon/syria,so its beyond me who few militants can go into the buffer and steal countless UN personnel.

You'll have to explain, FD what constitutes "apologetics".  I can't see anything which constitutes an apology in those messages.

Why do you need a repository of Brian's wisdom when you have the entire forum?   Grin Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

FD needs an Abu, HB. G's not up to scratch, so he's getting to work on the spineless apologists.

It is a jolly world, no?

It means taking away responsibility when it should not be taken away.

Very briefly:
Palestinians, Muslim Arabs (Shiites, Sunnis, whatever) are either fully responsible for what they do, in which case they are the equals of other peoples - OR they are not responsible for what they do in which case they should be treated like others with diminished responsibility - children, the mentally disabled, the demented.

But they forever seem to blame OTHERS for their own actions (firing rockets, beheading, bombing school buses and the like), claiming that it is others who make them do such things AND then they take the aid money and the seat at the international table AS IF they were grown ups, in control of their own actions.

You/Brain (same thing), PB and the rest of the sandalistas fuel this delusion of their being simultaneously children and grownups.

This is called apologetics. And because you know it's a crock of shite, it is properly called spineless apologetics.

I don't expect you to understand any of this but here it is, mediate on it.

How awful! They were required to pay a tax? At least Christians don't have to pay tax in Australia right? Much better off!

Annual tax on Christian family in Islamic State - -  -$400
Annual tax on Christian family in Australia - - - - - $20,000

Christians living in the Islamic State are taxed about 3% of their income.

Australian Christians are taxed about a third of their income.

Oh the tyranny!

I'm half expecting Abu to reappear and explain to us how all these non-Muslims want the Islamic state to free them from their previous burden of paying high taxes.

Old boy, who did you blame for your much anticipated invasion of Iraq?

Al Qaida? Yasser Arafat? Muhammed?

Looks like they missed the target, no?

Not your fault, of course. Seventh Century prophets are very tricky to pin down.

Better luck next war, eh?
