You and many from the more educated left
don't acknowledge the humanity of those who express "I hate muslims" and sprint is not alone in saying that. I hear it often.
but in belittling someone who expresses this , what you do is drive them into a corner from which you only harden their attitudes.
so, in fact, this approach is worsening the situation and , as a smart man, I think you realise that this is the case.
if this problem is to be solved it will require rapport building and if elites wish to just taunt the average ocker as a racist or a coward or living in fear or whatever, then this is the path to achieving that result. (ie you will create racists, cowards and fear)
we have an expression
"give a dog a bad name " (I presume it goes on to infer "and he will live up to it") and just as hating on muslims will make them behave worse, so hating on your average suburban aussie and taunting him with put downs will make him behave worse.
in a way, you and sprint are playing the identical game of "fight fire with fire' . you need the Buddha my friend
