Yeah ive noticed that too, Sprinty

under the Howard government

The australian olympic team had there biggest medal haul in the 2001 olympics

The australian cricket team under mark taylor/steve waugh, was the best cricket team in the world, winning the ashes and world cups

The wallabies won the world cup in 1999 against france. and were No 1 in the world at that time.

There were a alot of sporting achievements under the howard government, but ever since labor returned to power in 2007 under Kevin Rudd, australias sporting achievements went SOUTH.

I guess under a labor government a negative feeling spreads all the way to australias sportspeople,  Grin Grin Cheesy

Yep - All sporting codes benfitted under Howard - that's why we did so well - and good on him too.  I am sure the people on the streets at nights and the pensioners were happy to see sport's institutes so well funded.  Grin

I would not call it a 'negative feeling'.
More an overwhelming sense that excellence is not rewarded, so why bother ?
That 'the govvermint should do something about it'..... so the personal responnsibility is not there.

A sense of debt like a quagmire, so it is just too hard to move upwards.

Are you slightly touched in the head?  You seem to have a very unique spin on things.  And that is me being as polite as possible cos I don't think it is fair to pick on the intellectually challenged.
