Not answering is essentially agreeing that FTTN + HFC will cost AT LEAST $91Bn plus cost of remediation of the copper.

Do you need help?
Are you drowning in a vat or barrel...  is that why you are making less sense than usual...  ? Cheesy

Tel$tra are not going to just give NBN Co the copper, HM do you think it will end up costing?

Keep filling the place with lies dfbs...
Where is my apology?
Where is my answer?

Gawd ~ talk about obsessive and singularly compulsive!

Grendel, have you looked behind the icecream in the freezer where you sometimes put your false teeth?  Or maybe, you keep looking up the wrong arse?

Are you talking about your friend who owes me a big public apology and an answer Aussie are you stalking and trolling me yet again?
How unusual for you.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
Or are you demanding he stop being so obsessive and evasive for a change...  surely not.
Go back to relationships and try to learn something there and do us all a big favour here.  Roll Eyes

It's clear that I actually do answer questions and apologise...  some people who shall remain nameless are incapable of such common courtesies.

Yes trialling on carefully selected copper leased from Tel$tra.

Over the 50 year minimum timeframe leasing will cost more than buying.

They will have to buy the copper I suggest—who would spend tens of billions of dollars remediating someone else’s copper?

So $91Bn + remediation.

So, how much remediation will be needed? Just ballpark figure. The present copper network is pretty rooted with increasing areas losing broadband and even voice after rain.

The second problem is—the wires are too thin for much more than they are doing now. Save on remediation but earn not much more revenue.

The third problem is—too many premises without even one sound twisted pair, again severely limiting, blocking, access to even ADSL1.

Silence again. For someone who clearly does give answers you seem very reticent to me.

Basically—you concede the argument to me.

Remediation will NECESSARILY involve widening all pits and pipes and rerunning clean, new, .6mm diameter copper, enough to give each residential premises at least 2 pairs. Then maybe, depending on the number of nodes to be installed, most subscribers will get fast broadband.

That will cost much more than running FTTH—copper costs more than fibre plus the substantial cost of widening those pits & pipes.

The Libs are lying about broadband.

Q.E.D.

finis.

George, the only thing clear is that you are a compulsive liar. You are a blight upon society. A waste of space. A piece of sh1t.

That's all you are and ever will be.

I guess no fanboi is game to go through the process and put some figures down because once they do they are admitting that $41Bn from the “Strategic” Review is only the start.

The SR is a bit of a joke and the $41Bn is understating the cost and $73Bn is overstating the cost. There is just no way of making Malcolm’s Terrible Muddle the best and cheapest choice.

for goodness sake some of the directors and senior managers of the NBN Co negotiating with Tel$tra for the copper own substantial Tel$tra shareholdings!

You just keep raving on and fail to address anything don't you

Lets have a look at the true cost of fttn shall we.

$41 billion - this doesn't include maintenance or the copper network itself.

The copper network has been valued at 20 billion.

Maintenance is 1 billion per year.

So all up - in 20 years the fttn nbn will have cost:
41+20+20 = $81 billion.

Not cheaper is it.

Oh no Monk can do it he's lied about and slagged me off enough over the years to finally get around to admitting he's not a Tech head and that I actually do have more IT Industry experience than he has. 30 years to be exact.  Right Monkey Boy.

So Monk... where's my apology?  the one you've owed me for years.
Where's the answer to my simple tech question, now a month+ overdue.

Got nothing do you Monkey Boy.

Stop trying to distract from your ineptitude and dishonesty.
