You've got it wrong..Australia should never have invested in infrastructure because its very expensive.

And will be obsolete when they finally finish it, if they do, at some later (much much later) date.

You can't substantiate that assertion, can you? Are you longweekend58?

...yes I would have to say it will be obsolete .......and that's what far more knowledgable individuals than you or I say...
Repeating an assertion constitutes substantiation - how?

If fibre will be obsolete, it must be replaced by something. What might that something be? All you really need to do is link to those Quote:

No it isn't.  Equitable has a more complex definition and since it is based on the term EQUAL that is your clue.
...

equitable Quote:
1. impartial or reasonable; fair; just

and you think 'fair and just' have immutable, unequivocal meanings???

I think they have meanings. I reckon any reasonable reader will know what equitable means.

really?  equitable means 'fair'.  'fair' means... well it is not easily defined nor would everyone agree.  Depending on their personal philosophy, 'fair' can have a very wide range of meanings.  You seem to operate under the delusion that your definition of 'fair' is immutably the right one.

Nice attempt at distraction, by the way.

What's the current cost of the NBN?  $60 Billion dollars?

Ok 250,000 people signed the petition.

If each of you people that signed the petition donate $250,000 towards the establishment cost of the NBN there'd be no need to flay us poor taxpayers.

Do YOU have a spare 250 Grand?????

Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue

Actually I got a better idea. Not lowering  the company tax rate and increasing it to what we all pay.  Reduce the numerous and outlandish number of tax deductions they give to business. Make companies and business pay a minimum amount of tax no matter how many deductions they claim and bring back the original resources tax So that you blokes stop flaying the poor taxpayer and we can get a decent NBN for the benefit of all not JUST YOU.

yeah that will only cost about 2 million jobs and devastate the economy.  you should go work for Mugabe.

hahahah - quite true longie.

sparatacus - tax is payable on net profit.

Hehehehe, see all the small businesspeople come out of their hole when you threaten their handouts.  Ahh you hate socialism but don't you put your hand out expecting the community to carry you because you cant compete.  Because you've been made lazy because your have become dependent on government handouts.  Time you got off the socialist tit boys and start paying your way.  We have to and we feel better for it (and you can too, after the initial shock of having to earn a real living).  There's something truly honorable about being a PAYE tax payer, the real creators of jobs and wealth in this country.  You don't believe me. You need to see what this proud capitalist says about it.

Ohh but don't you free thinkers in our great democracy ever look at something that might test the establishment's view of the world

Thanks, I'll take that as a compliment. Given the competition, not much of a compliment, but I'll take what I get.  Wink

I'll take that as an admission of defeat, at least as far as the merits of the technologies.

Abbott won the election, true. Abbott is not likely to do what Rupert Murdoch has instructed him not to do, true. Turnbull will do as Abbott tells him, true, but only so long as Abbott remains leader.

I had the NBN bloke checking the pit outside my place yesterday. They'll replace the pit next week with a view to start laying cable into my place shortly after that. .... hopefully Tony won't stuff it up before they get around to it.

None of which you can substantiate.
