The level of apostacy in islam is nothing compared to the thousands of Christians and jews who leave there religion in the thousands.
So maybe there leaders and books are corrupt. That's according to your logic.
wally1,
Yes, in the 'environment' of this world [the 'environment' in which every one of us, find ourselves 'tested' by], it is difficult, for us to focus upon what is really important,
we each, find it a difficult task, to find the true path.
And it is clear, that
very many of us are 'overcome', by our experience in this world. We all become ensnared to some extent, by our 'cares' for the things which are in this world.
Because this world does teach us, that it is much more important to be 'successful', than to be righteous.
But if we are quiet, and if we are listening, the spirit of God speaks to each of us.
And the spirit of God teaches us, that we are all,
'strangers in a strange land'.
And the spirit of God teaches us, that it is much more important for us
to be true, and
to be righteous - towards those who are our fellow travellers, towards those who are also 'strangers in a strange land'.
But is there any individual in this world, that is more carnally influenced
and more carnally motivated [in this world], than a moslem ?
I do not know of any.i
Ecclesiastes 3:10
I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.
11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time:
also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
It appears to be [to the spiritually deaf and to the spiritually blind], that often, that it is the carnally minded persons that succeed in this life...
Luke 16:8
And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely:
for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.
But
if we are quiet, and if we are listening, the spirit of God will speak to our spirit;
Isaiah 48:10
Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver;
I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.
Daniel 12:10
Many shall be purified, and made white,
and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
Luke 8:5
A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.
6 And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture.
7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it.
8 And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
9 And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?
10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.
11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
14
And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
James 4:4
.....know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God?
whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
1 John 2:15
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
