Abbott takes his cleaver to the CEFC

Predictable but an utterly appalling decision that is purely based upon political motives, by a regime in Canberra that is in bed TOTALLY with big oil and the coal sector.

The CEFC had 10 billion dollars to fund renewable and sustainable commercial ventures in Australia. It was structured in a purely commercial and corporate manner in order to fund economically feasible projects that the normal finance institutions deliberately avoid funding due to their links with the big fossil fuel corporations.

In comparison the coal industry alone receives about 9 billion dollars per year in government subsidies and grants. EACH YEAR.

Australia is an international laughing stock on many fronts at the moment. Embarrassed to show my passport when I venture  overseas.

Watch this space, I reckon we'll see half of Europe ditching their eco-suicide policies now, just takes one brave nation to stand up to these fraudsters. I think Poland never even fell for this b/s, they are happily supplying their people with nice cheap power from their generous reserves of lovely coal.
