If that is the case i don't see why the goverment should issue press releases to the media. But it smacks of a lack of transperancy.

Prove to me, using statistics from a reliable source, that no boats have arrived since the Government has been sworn in. Oh, wait, you can't. That information is not being released to the public because that is now a state secret.

Not surprised at all at Labors whining over this issue, considering it is one of their own making because of their gross incompetence.
And I'm not surprised at all at the high shrill squealing of the left either.
What happened to Wikileaks?
It matters little what Abbott does, the left will squeal regardless of any outcome.
Those knobs will just have to wait just like the rest of us until Abbott has gotten through the changes that he wants to make to actually stop the boats.
