...  yes, there ARE matters of degree especially when it was obviously a mis-spoken comment.

The contrast between your treatment of Gillard and of Abbott reveals breathtaking hypocrisy.

you mean the Carbon tax LIE???  the LIE that destroyed her govt and even now has the ALP in opposition for at least 9 years???

yeah... so similar.

yet I and I am sure matty have n ever ever seen one good thing said about Abbott or the Libs from any of you ...hohum lefties.

I have said plenty of good things about Costello, McFarlane, Turnbull, Georgio, Moylan, & a few others

I have even conceded Howard was a steady hand.

Tony has done nothing worthy of praise, unless of course you think a 3 year tantrum is an achievement.

thats a little harsh. tonys been remarkably cool to my mind (and i'm not a fan of his).
milne is tantrum central. gillard wasnt much better.
rudd ...you certainly couldnt call him a steady hand.
tonys disciplined , if nothing else.  i dont think he'll implode.he may even grow into the job.  needs to remember liberal roots though
