Its common knowledge that Abbott and his thugs threatened any businesses that co operated with Labor with retribution if and when they got into power so its no wonder that once it was obvious that the Mad Monk was going to become PM that Ford and others jumped ship..There will be many more so be prepared for unemployment in double figures before the three yrs is out.

Ford left because of your high cost of salaries and wages.

Ford Australia staff were wanting to be paid 2 times that of their UK counterparts in Ford Dagenham.

Think of this - whilst Ford are cutting jobs in Australia and moving out, they are INCREASING jobs in Essex to Ford UK - which will now make the cars for continental Europe and some that go into Australia.

This is not a rush to the third world.

Aussies workers by contrast want -

Long service leave
Superannuation
Overtime penalty rates
Higher base salary

It stands to reason, if you're too damn expensive as cost of labour, then companies will leave.

Unions can look at themselves for this decision.

You got tickets on yourself ar$ehole. You contribute to the cost of labour just as much as any of us. If what you pretend about yourself is true (and I do suspect your really an obsequious sh!t kicking wannabe) your way overpaid for the little you contribute. Don't you think the world pays too high a price for a little man like you to feel good about himself by wanting to be superior. Drop you salary like the rest of us because your adding too much to the cost of production and then we can talk
