I've no problem with having a close relationship with Israel, if we would use it to put pressure on the Jews to seek peace with Palestine.

But all we seem to do is, well, nothing.

it also applies to Muslims by the look of this.... you have our vote if you do this????..

next it will be you will have our support only if you preselect muslims...NO THANK YOU

Labor watch who you jump into bed with.. Angry Angry

Oh please  Roll Eyes

As if the labor party is not completely beholden to Israeli lobby groups. When was the last time Australia has ever uttered a single criticism towards Israel? You won't find it, because it has literally never happened. The labor government recently abstained from a vote on Palestinian UN membership (after Gillard originally wanted to vote against it) - and that was considered a major concession to the Palestinians! Thats how absurd things are.

As if all religions are not doing the same thing.

The Catholic Church has many plants in the Liberal and Labor Party. Half of Abbott's cabinet are fanatical Catholics.

Jews are the most powerful lobbyists in the US.

Quote:
American Israel Public Affairs Committee

The New York Times has called it "the most important organization affecting America's relationship with Israel."[4] It has been described as one of the most powerful lobbying groups in Washington, DC. Its critics have stated it acts as an agent of the Israeli government with a "stranglehold" on the United States Congress with its power and influence...

How many boats did they let in?

Belgium which is a far smaller country than Australia takes in about 50,000 asylum seekers each year.

Australia has obligations to take in about 6000 asylum seekers each year.

about 95% of asylum seekers to land on our shores, are eventually classed as legitimate and allowed to stay here.

Something obviously wrong with you and basic comprehension of global realities.

Let me guess - you also believe in GOD and Jesus Christ like Abbott and Howard do.

Not so much a Chimp as a chump, maybe you can have a shot at this, you ran away last time.

Belgium takes in 50,000+ asylum seekers and refugees each year, and Belgium is smaller and less wealthy than Australia.

According to the UNHCR Asylum applications in Belgium in

2008 was 12250
2009 was 17190
2010 was 21760
2011 was 26000
2012 was 18520

And as an aside, those figures include repeat applications.

Where are you getting 50 thousand plus per year and over what years and a reference.

Chimp the chump has once again refused to answer, instead beating a retreat, swinging his way through the canopy.  If any one sees him recycling his Belgium 50k asylum seekers feel free to repost my original question.
