gandalf, Karnal, brian,
I hope that Christians
would not venerate supposed holy 'relics'.
But i know that they do.
I believe that to venerate such symbols, as a 'religious act',
is wrong, and if Christians choose to do such a thing, then it saddens me.
But i know that they do.
I hope that Christians would choose to worship
God and his righteousness.
Isaiah 45:20
Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save.
21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.
22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
24 Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.
25
In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.
Psalms 40:1
I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

Why does every church have a big cross at the front of the room towards which people bow in worship?
Question for Yadda:
when muslims bow towards the kaaba, do they say "in the name of God..." or do they say "in the name of the black stone..."?
gandalf,
I can image that moslems say "in the name of Allah..."
And i assume, that moslems do understand, what it is,
that moslems choose to worship."

It cannot be denied, that the Black Stone, was a pagan object of worship for 100's of years, before Mohammed's era.
The Black Stone, and
the Kaaba
predates the pagans.
It is believed to have been built by Abraham (Ibrahim) himself.
The black stone is believed to have come from heaven, and placed in the original Kaaba by an angel. Muhammad did not continue the pagan tradition of idol worship, he revived it as a place of worship for the one true God -
in the footsteps of Abraham.
gandalf,
It is believed by moslems that the Kaaba was built by Abraham and his son Ishmael.
But gandalf, what is the basis of that belief,
AND THAT 'RELIGIOUS' ASSERTION, by moslems ?
Is the construction of the Kaaba recorded in the ancient Hebrew scripture,
which is the earliest record of Abraham's life ?
No.
Is the construction of the Kaaba recorded within the
complete and 'inerrant' Koran, which is ISLAM's foundation text [a text reputedly given to Mohammed by Allah, through the agency of an angel].
No.
So what is the basis of this belief,
AND THAT 'RELIGIOUS' ASSERTION, by moslems [that the Kaaba was built by Abraham and his son Ishmael] ?
There is no firm basis for such a belief.[Like so many aspects of 'Allah's perfect religion'....] Such a belief is simply, a moslem 'religious relic', a moslem religious tradition,
which has been asserted by moslems, for many centuries.
It is sad, that so many people choose to ['publicly'] declare that they believe, the many things which ISLAM asserts.
And often for no other reason, than because of their [personal] fear,
of other men.
Tyranny.
ISLAM is a very worldly, secular, political tyranny.
A deception, dressed up, as a virtuous religion, nothing more.

Matthew 4:8
Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
9 And saith unto him,
All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written,
Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
