Your Hun dreamt up the iron maiden, Bobby.

Do you have a YouTube video for that?

Blasphemy!

Some souls have turned so far from God
that pain is the only way to call them back.

Are you sure? No heavy metal?

It’s okay if it’s Christian - it’s not pagan at all.

Dear Simian one,
The Grande Inquisitor Torquemada would change your iron maiden  tune!

He had no master Light type forgiveness.

In his place - death was mercy!

Muslims do not worship the stone.

If kissing something is worship, then you better not kiss your wives tonight - might be blasphemy.

Hey!!!! Where are the little swivel-eyed guys? Not feeling yourself today???

I say, old chap, don’t you people worship Martin Luther?

That’s all very well, but we British are a tad adverse to getting down on all fours before some fat little Hun in a black smock.

If I converted to Lutheranism, would I need to do all the kowtowing you people do to that hideous idol of yours?

bugger knows what you are trying to say but never mind. Carry on.

Are you asking me to clarify the question, old chap, or its premise?

I must say, I do find the German obsession with Martin Luther rather gauche. You people must stop bowing down to his image, it really is quite pagan.

We British worship the Anglic - a much more personal religion. Our priests walk around in jolly embroidered robes with great silver orbs of incense. Divine!

I have no idea why you Lutherans haven't converted yet. We should have banned your false God when we had the chance.

Still, live and let live, eh?

What are you trying to say? Who knows.

I don't have to worship anything, Brain.

As usual, *WHOOSH*, straight over your head.  Not hard really, considering how far it is inserted up your arse, Soren.  Grin Grin Grin

Why criticize others for what your own religion does, in spades?   Cool

Brian are you suggesting that what the Muslims do with this rock thing is equivalent to Christians worshipping a piece of toast?

Never kiss anyone or anything.  FD and co. might consider it 'worship'.

Ah, my dears, what is worship/veneration of prophet Yeheshua's shroud? His foreskin? Little piece of his wooden cross? His tomb?

It is a great mystery of all the worlds, isn't it.

Sorry not mainstream Christian practises.

gandalf, Karnal, brian,

I hope that Christians would not venerate supposed holy 'relics'.

But i know that they do.

And yet you only lombast Muslims for doing so?

Yep, you're a bigot, through and through, Yadda.   Roll Eyes

How ya goin bwian...  good to see you doing that judgement thing you feel you have no right to do with people of other religions...  aren't you an atheist?
Tsk tsk tsk bwian...

Most Christians bwian don't venerate idols and relics.  Oh and do try not to confuse Catholicism and Christianity, you know that's wrong.  Not all Christians are Catholic or share all their beliefs.

Anyway, Christians venerating (not worshipping) the relic of Jesus makes sense because these are object like mementos from a person regarded as god.

It is so, old boy. Vargin Maary, Mutti of Gud; Saint Penie and Paul; Saint Klaus, Father of Christmas; Tannenbaum, Easter egg, ring and robe of pope; all are mementos of One Gud.

Gud is great, no?

Indeed.

SO, then, what's the point of the black rock? You always forget to address the point, PB. Lots unvoiced linguolabial trills and gibberish and so forth, but no sense. (Old head injury from Nam??)

Why, it represents the dastardly Muselman version of Gud, old chap.

What does the Easter egg represent?

Nothing pagan about Christianity, dear boy. Christmas, Easter, Vargin Maary, the pope's ring, hot cross buns.

But those Muselmen, well.

Sinister.

Maybe it represents that deep dark cave where Mohammed met the demons who fashioned his religion.

What say you Karnal of all Knowledge?

You know how demons tend to hide in dark places and all that.  Roll Eyes

I have been to Mecca for pilgrimages many times and have never even bothered to look at the stone let alone kiss it.

Some Muslims choose to give the meteorite an affectionate kiss because it came from Heaven. However, there is no obligation in Islam for Muslims to do anything to the stone.

Some traditions hold that that the stone was sent as an indicator for Adam and Eve as to where to erect an altar.

Its function today is merely to hold up the wall of the temple in Mecca.

Sounds like an impressive stone. Strong and enduring.

Are the queues long to get a kiss?

Bascically, Yes, I am.  You want to worship a piece of toast, its just as fine as a Muslim worshiping a piece of meteorite as far as I am concerned.    I don't see why you find this is a difficult idea to grasp.   Oh, thats right, they are Muslims and therefore automatically "criminals" for doing so, right?    Roll Eyes

Do you think the veneration for this rock has an equivalent basis in Islam to what toast worshipping has in Christianity?

What are you getting at FD?

Sorry if I find your little "gotcha" exercises getting a little too cryptic.
