EDL run a anti muslim organisation but the members go around and bash police, non muslims and destroy non muslims infrastructure.

Breivik who is a EDL supporter killed 80-90 non muslims.

EDL members have been charged with hooliganism, violent crime and paedophilia.Good Christians they are.

The EDL should reorganise along the lines of Islam. It will then be able to anneal around verses of its religion permitting, even venerating, bigotry, hatred, violence, misandry, misogyny, misanthropy, anhedonia and other aberrations. Religion permits Manichaean views which divide the universe into good and bad much like Islam does. Islam’s view is simplistic in its approach; a person is a muslim or a person is a kaffir or infidel. So too should the EDL structure itself. Just how dumb is the EDL leadership in being slow to take up this lesson?

The EDL should establish a policy of allotheism which encourages free-range haters. Violence should be promoted like public floggings and other acts of group and cultural violence. Lapidations, a practice venerated in Islam, should be replicated by (insert EDL religion here) but with a twist; instead of stoning to death the person who is being punished the person should be kicked to death. Wake up EDL.

Islam has much to teach the world. I must admit I enjoy the violence of being a New Age Muslim. I’m allowed to hate people, I can practice bigotry, I can hold the most vile views but I’m able to hide it all behind a religion. Life is great and satisfying.

Praise Halla and may his light show us the true path.

Sorry FD, you have to be a New Age Muslim to get on our mailing list. How are you at hatred, bigotry, violence etc? If you excel in those things and others you could join our religion cult.

To both sides of the argument going on here:

What is more important: your egos or the innocent people being killed or harmed?

Does it matter who any of these people identify as? Does it justify their persecution?

If one small group from a certain identity commits a crime does the rest of the identity become guilty? Or do they only become guilty if they are those you see as rivals, or just those that aren't a part of an identity you hold?

In my signature on this site I have a small part of a larger quote from an anime character that I have pasted below. It is somewhat cheesy but it asks very good questions:

"Possibly humans can exist without actually having to fight. But, many of us have chosen to fight. For what reason? To protect something? Protect what? Ourselves? The future? If we kill people to protect ourselves and this future then what sort of future is it and what will we have become? There is no future for those who have died. And what of those who did the killing? Is happiness to be found in a future that is grasped with blood stained hands? Is that the truth?" - Lacus Clyne (Gundam SEED)

So what does everyone consider a better future? Where all those you perceive as enemies and even their children are dead? What will you become in the process or will others do the killing for you? What about after this future is achieved - if new groups form - is it ok for them to kill each other to resolve their differences as they will have past precedent to go with?

In amongst all this discussion as to why whole groups are purely good or evil, people are continuing to live with each other and stick up for others with identities different from their own.
- Former soldiers from Israel and Palestine have formed groups in order to try and find peace.
- A Jewish synagogue in America offered space to the local Muslim community where others wouldn't.
- The Dalai Lama has condemned violence by some Buddhists against Rohingya Muslims in Burma/Myanmar.
- There would be countless other examples from countries where groups from category A persecute members of category B, yet members of category A may even risk their skin to protect their supposed rivals.

If you think I am just some mad utopian, then you are free to do so but pragmatically is this hatred worthwhile? If all groups simply fight force with force, fear with fear and hatred with hatred while claiming moral/civilisational/technological/whatever superiority what is its end? The only way to end things with force is to totally kill your supposed opposition. Is this what anyone here actually wants?

If the identity revolves around justifying and excusing those acts, or holding them up as an ideological imperative, then they share in the guilt.

Clyne, you undermine your argument by tossing in a quote from an anime character. Did you know that anime is judged to be violent with death and gore as a feature? Man has been and will be a warrior. The only way to cure that is to make all religions burn their holy manuscripts and force them to hand out public relations kits.

Quote:
Why is anime overly violent or sexual?

Japanese animation has a huge tradition that Western audiences don't appreciate. Like the graphic form of Japanese cartoons, Manga, Anime, or animated features, are extremely popular in Japan. The Japanese market for anime spans the entire nation and almost every interest. There is anime about noodle bakers! There is an anime genre for every age and interest group. But in Western nations, our lack of experience with comics and animation in general makes us curious and even concerned about some of what we see. Japanese animation can be ultra-violent. Some anime is so violent that even the films of Quentin Tarantino can only hint at their excesses. And anime has certain genres that are notoriously sexual, so much so that Western nations regard them as close to outright pornography. So, why is there so much violence and sex in certain Japanese anime? Well, that's not as difficult a question as some might imagine.

Ah, guilt by association, right, FD?

So, then you agree with the Nazis that all Jews were guilty of the crime of murdering Jesus Christ?   Roll Eyes

If a Jew tried to justify nailing someone to a cross for claiming to be the Son of God, I would happily tar them with the same brush.

So far, the only people I see doing this sort of thing are Muslims and their limp-wristed apologists.

Did you bother to read my post before responding?

Looks like leader of EDL left the extremist Christian party,

Mass demo called against fascism in UK

EDL founder and leader Tommy Robinson said he has left the group over far-right extremism concerns.

Britains largest union Unite has called for a rally against Fascism after founder of the countrys far-right English Defense League (EDL) said hes left the group over its extremist elements.

Dont be fooled by todays (Tuesday 8 October) resignations of the English Defence Leagues co-leaders Tommy Robinson and Kevin Carroll,” Unite said in a press release.

The union warned the public that the move does not mean the the creed of division and racism of the far right haters” is no longer there in Britain, calling for a march and rally in Liverpool on Saturday to show public opposition to fascism.

The call by Unite comes after its offices in Liverpool were attacked by members of the racist group.

The EDL may have lost its leaders, but dont be fooled, the violent thuggery of the fascist far right still stalks our communities. As Nick Griffin of the extremist BNP (British National Party) demonstrates the hard right hatred does not disappear, it merely mutates,” Unite Secretary General Len McCluskey said.
There can be no room for complacency as the attacks on our offices in Liverpool have shown. Now, more than ever, we need to stand together to celebrate one community and say that there is no place for hate in modern Britain,” he added.
Unites rally is supported by Mayor of Liverpool as well as Britains trades unions federation the Trades Union Congress (TUC), the Communication Workers™ Union, RMT union, Britain™s second largest union Unison and the National Union of Teachers.

It needs to organise itself as a religion. Islam has already been registered as an alleged religion so why not go with the name Malsi?

You saying they had no pro religion agenda?

EDL threatened british councils with rallies if it wasn't Christian enough and if it banned Christmas.

They also rallied with jews against the palestinian people.

Look at the meetings, thay have the cross and the Israeli flags in the background.

EDL aims to defend Christian culture

The EDL lead spokesman, using the pseudonym “Tommy Robinson,” claimed that the EDL’s efforts are to defend “Christian culture” in the United Kingdom. Mr. Robinson’s speech included defending the dignity of the Christian Bible while using the “F-word” in the same sentence repeatedly. Such vulgar language was repeatedly a part of Mr. Robinson’s speech in support of “Christian culture” and against Islam and British Muslims.  In Mr. Robinson’s speech, he also claims to be harassed by the British police who are investigating him and friends for criminal charges involving money laundering and other crimes, which have been  discussed online.  When the Stop Islamization of America (SIOA) group’s leader invited  the EDL to join the 9/11 protest against the Islamic Center in NYC, Mr. Robinson was not allowed into the country by U.S. Homeland Security.  While Mr. Robinson spoke, his supporters waved a signing reading “no more mosques.”
