If you're upset that "these guys" (whoever at might refer to) weren't sued, then perhaps you'd best ask why. First, work out who you're talking about; then, who you're talking to. If I recall correctly, the emails were stolen from the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia in the UK.

So I take it that the process by which the evidence was obtained is not relevant.

After all, the emails were, in effect, stolen.

Further, the content of the stolen emails was investigated and, whilst it was acknowledged that some individuals were not particularly nice in their writings about others, NO WRONG DOING occurred.

The emails are nothing more than proof of hacking really.

Obviously none of the brave denier camp are coming forward to acknowledge their theft, which, logically leads to why no one has been sued or charged to date.

Biggest drought in recorded white settlement (Australia wide) was the federation drought that went from 1896 to 1902 killing millions of sheep 106 million to 54 million and about 40% of the cattle. During this time (1901) it also snowed at Winton.
Biggest fire (Australia wide) was also in 1851.
Biggest 3 floods for Brisbane (because unlike a lot of other areas of the continent it was recorded...all in the 1800's.
Too specific for you...how about the Hawkesbury River...biggest flood also the 1867...19.7 metres.
Melbourne's Yarra...1891..
But what about the other side of the continent Perth's Swan River...record flood way back in 1862 again.
Got lots more we can look at frequency if you like?
So the pushers of the government position were "investigated" and found to be pillars of virtue...what a surprise... So how is this stuff to be found otherwise...they obviously don't say to the public what they say in private...if the US and probably most other governments want info they do the same thing...see recently NSA revelations. Which is why when the stuff came out documenting a litany of illegality...they were only interested in the leakers.
The sad fact is what hurts you hand-wringers most is the truth and history and facts...you have to resort to lies, fraud and distortion to make your case...how embarrassing.

But this was not an inquiry into the science produced by CRU and it will be for the Scientific Appraisal Panel, announced by the University on 22 March, to determine whether the work of CRU has been soundly built.

On the mishandling of Freedom of Information (FoI) requests, the Committee considers that much of the responsibility should lie with the University, not CRU. The leaked e-mails appear to show a culture of non-disclosure at CRU and instances where information may have been deleted to avoid disclosure, particularly to climate change sceptics. The failure of the University to grasp fully the potential damage this could do and did was regrettable. The University needs to re-assess how it can
support academics whose expertise in FoI requests is limited.

There can be no secrets especially when its going to cost all of us an arm and a leg to TRY and curb climate change.

Humans can never control the Earth's climate.

Now you have to wonder who Julia Gillard was batting for when she said the science is settled.

The one thing that I have noticed all these years is labor gets in and farks up the country.

Labor gets the arse.

Libs get in fix the problem and then start messing with our working conditions.

Libe get the arse.

And the cycle repeats itself.

The bottom line though is imo that labor have done more damage to the working class than liberals.
