How influential are Jews like Piers Ackerman on the Australian media?

Can we ask these kinds of questions? Or is it only kosher to offend Muslims?

You might be surprised at how much anti-semitism is out there. The only problem is if the Jewish Council of Australia gets wind of it - they might shut the whole of Ozpolitic down. For such a minority religious group in Australia - they have a great deal of influence.

I've only noticed one self confessed Jew post here - Avram something or other, but he doesn't seem to post here any longer. There are plenty of other members who appear to be pro-Israel, so perhaps one of these members is a closet Jew.

IMO there's a distinct difference between anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism.

"pro Israel" can mean different things to different people. Just like the word "zionism". Does it mean support for the existence of the jewish state per se, or does it mean support for the Israeli government's aggressive policies related to expanding settlements and extending Israel so that it encompasses the whole of historical Palestine? Extremist zionists will refuse to acknowledge a difference between the two, while the more moderate pro Israelis will push for a secure and defensible homeland for the jews, next to a viable homeland for the Palestinians - while condemning the aggressive expansionist policies of the Israeli right.

Surprisingly, I tend to find jews themselves more ammenable to the latter position, while the extremist pro-zionist position is held more by right wing non-jews.

Yes there is a difference and quite a few non Jewish RW's are not discerning either and will lump the two groups together. It's not hard to find moderate Jews on google holding placards supporting an independent Palestine.

There is also another primitive ritualistic Jew who beats his wife, packs her off to another part of the house when she has a period and goes around practicing a voodoo of sorts. Slavery is also an accepted practice. The list of their religious shortcomings is extensive.
