Is that a rhetorical question.  Of course it does!  It's the nature of the beast!   Cheesy Grin Cheesy Grin Cheesy Grin Cheesy Grin Cheesy

Would you like to tell me where i went wrong

Lack of life experiences?   Cheesy Grin Cheesy Grin Cheesy Grin Cheesy

I could say the same thing to you, however unlike you, i'm not a child. Please tell me where i went wrong.

You made the mistake of being a capitalist?

Quote:
Because looking at workers in the West and workers in Socialist states, We have far more rights and freedoms than other workers from socialist state don't have.

Ever consider why workers have those rights and freedoms?

Employers are always attacking those rights and freedoms, wanting them reduced or removed in the name of "flexibility".  They see them as an expensive hindrance on their ability to maximise their profits, at the expense of the workers.  Workers fought for those rights and freedoms because they had suffered exploitation at the hands of unscrupulous employers.

Excellent point!

decades and even centuries of activism and individuals as well as unions fighting for better conditions, respect and a secure standard of living.

Capitalists detest a united workforce that asks questions and makes demands that are fair and reflective of their work input

There is a move in some countries in Europe to empower workers with equal shares in a company venture or even in a cooperative structure where farmers pools resources for example.

They have found 3 major differences when these structures are implemented in the workplace

1. more content workers and working environment
2. higher retention of staff
3. higher productivity

Capitalism has never been tried anywhere in the world - and for a very good reason. Even the capitalists themselves don't want true market discipline to apply to their investments etc. (they don't mind if market discipline and capitalist ideologies apply to the family business or a small company. A good example was the disgraceful behaviour of governments during the 2008 GFC, trillions of dollars of tax payers money straight into the coffers of the banksters and corporations - the very same people who caused the crisis in the first place

Its not capitalism, which is merely just another economic model.

Pure capitalism has never been practiced anywhere in the world (just like democracy hasn't been implemented anywhere)

Its the Corpocracy that you have been normally butting your heads up against.

eg.

China = State run pseudo capitalist system
USA = Corporately run pseudo capitalist system

Both China and the USA are totalitarian fascist regimes. The freedoms and rights that both nations claim are trivial and illusionary when put to the test.

It has always been a fight against fascism - and fascism takes many forms!

The most effective form thus far developed by humanity IMO is corporatism

Even Mussolini knew that

Capitalism exploits, that's the way it has always worked. Without exploitation it couldn't survive.

Personally, I'd prefer poker, euchre or gin rummy.

Even Happy Families would be preferable.

That's exactly what the propaganda system tells you!

Even the partial capitalist system that is deployed in the world today has left a huge mess.

Corporatised Capitalism is a form of fascism

It can never be legitimate and it can never lead to enhanced freedoms and democracy

capitalism and democracy are incompatible on every level thinkable

This is why the capitalist corporate elite, control the flow of information FIRST and foremost.

They hate the internet, even though they profit from it. They cant control the whole internet but they are trying.

Havent you noticed whats happened and what they are trying to do/??

No thanks.

I have worked for US multi nationals for the last decade and have been profoundly well paid for it.

I have travelled the world, risen and been promoted within the corporates, received decent bonuses, we have nice cars and my little ones will be going to the best schools in the area partly paid for by these capitalistic companies you deride.

Capitalism reflects what is the human nature instinct. To out perform, to beat others, to get what is deserved to you.

I am all for a system that rewards the work you put in. If I worked bloody hard at school and university to get qualified for higher roles, then I should receive just reward in monetary terms than others who did not try.

Competitive advantage is the key to getting on in life and capitalism and the supply/demand curve does this for us.

No other system (socialism, communism) rewards hard work and individual effort like capitalism does.
