Labor only reopened processing centres in neighbouring countries because Christmas Island was at breaking point. People were being processed offshore prior to Rudd becoming PM but when he reinstates offshore processing, he's our saviour? Give me a break! Did you bump your head today and forget that the last Coalition government had a policy of not resettling everyone in Australia? Labor did a spectacular backflip on this issue, a very big ME2 in terms of policy and yet STILL couldn't get the same results that Abbott and Morrison are now getting. Clearly, we're going to have to drip-feed this to you as your obviously incapable of taking in facts in large doses.
Like I said teaspoon, regardless of who 1st thought of the idea,
1) Labor stopped offshore processing
2) Labor re introduced offshore processing
3) Liberals never had a policy of no settlement in Australia regardless of refugee status if arrival by boat, they refused to take ALL of those on the TAMPA.
BIG DIFFERENCE
4) Tony has name changed & cut the supply of information to the Australian Public, please explain how these 2 measures slowed boats.
5) So you can thank Kevin Rudd for the slowing of boat arrival NOT Tony Abbott.
That must gall you eh
