I understand the attractions of a footloose carefree lifestyle away from the stifling restrictions of the conventional life-style.

All I'm saying is that these people should enjoy that lifestyle while engaged in legitimate work, instead of ripping people off with scams ~ and sending their legally under-age children to pick-pocket and steal from people using the ATM machines.

I should explain that his issue was with itinerants who committed crime wherever they went. A lot of them just happen to be Gypsies (Roma). It's a major problem in Italy today. They arrive en masse in a village, create havoc and leave a mess for others to clean up.

Call it what you want. It's sociopathic behaviour.

I'm sure that he would have no problem with one of these people who actually got a job and contributed to society.
