BOTH are bogus but the test of being unbiased was failed. but so far, having another mod that might actually moderate could be good.

its not a problem with no being online 24/7 but rather that moderation is rather ad hoc. See chimp-logics abuse for reference. and then there is mozza the drive-by mod that appears every few weeks, throws here weight around and then disappears.

Longy - We work as a team. If PN, Andrei or FD were to ban somebody, I'd back up their decision for the most part. It's not an individual thing at all. It has nothing to do with ego or inventing rules to suit yourself. Maybe that's a concept that you fail to grasp.

We are anything but monolithic when it comes to other things, but we share certain standards, and I think they are pretty good standards.

I think if you asked most posters they would find it hard to identify ANY standards never-mind consistent ones. PN for example is on record (via PM) as stating he will NOT support me in any thing whatsoever. is that the standard of moderation you wish to applaud? Threads with massive abuse go unmoderated.

Complaints to moderators generally go unanswered and if answered, are given no help.

Having Andrei as a moderator will be good - not because he will be unbiased but because his bias will balance out the other bias. When I was made moderator it was for the very worst of reasons - 'to experiment with a right-wing moderator'.

Is it too much to expect the standard of moderation to be UNBIASED and free of any political ideology? Or even more unusual, to moderate consistently and according to the rules not some opinon of subjective interpretation?
