'56 women killed in 2013 for giving birth to girls’

LAHORE: Fifty-six women have been killed in Pakistan this year for giving birth to a girl rather than a boy, human rights activist IA Rehman said at a symposium here on Monday.
“A country where mothers are killed for giving birth to baby girls can’t be called an ethical society,” Rehman said at the symposium, titled ‘Youth emerging as a force for positive change’, meant to mark the International Day to Eliminate Violence Against Women. The event was arranged by the All Pakistan Women’s Association (APWA).
From January 2012 to September 2013, there were also 90 acid attacks on women, 72 cases of burning caused by other means, 491 cases of domestic violence, 344 cases of gang rape and 835 cases of violence, he said. “Young girls are being raped in Pakistan and all we do is shout rather that do anything practical,” he said.

The current Australian government has one single woman in the party cabinet.

The current Afghan government has three women in the party cabinet.

Also, how does a hijab make women "faceless". The face is still faily visible, and they are often made of very good quality cloth with decorative art on them. I wonder if you get this offended by fascinaters on race day?

Why do you keep posting these things? No one here is defending these sort of actions, they are reprehensible and I hope the people doing these things are brought to justice. There is no indication to show that this was because of Islam based on the report, and the vast majority of Muslims would wholeheartedly condemn these actions.

I could point out that violence against women is extremely epidemic in PNG, which is a Christian country, and say the same things about Christians.

Over the years I've noticed that every time the anti-Muslim crowd has appeared on the streets of London to march with banners, and protest about the latest Islamist crap to make the news ~ another large Leftist group appears on the same streets to shout them down and protest against them protesting.

Sometimes it's the anti-gay crowd who hit the streets ~ and then another rowdy crowd appears on the same streets to shout them down and wave their banners.

When The English Defence League goes marching ~ there's another large crowd out there on the streets to confront them.

Same with the UK Independence Party. Lefties gather to shout them down.

With all this outdoor protesting and demonstrating there's one remarkable absence that we notice NEVER appears on the streets to confront the Muslim extremists who occasionally go marching behind banners with their loudspeakers.

Where are the Moderate Muslims?

Everyone else gets onto the streets to advertise their wares ~ but never the 'moderates'.

Muslim 'hate-speakers' ... bombings ... demonstrations against UK soldiers fighting in Muslim countries ... honour killings ... Death Fatwas ... female clitorectomies ... sharia law ... anti-Democracy banner-waving ... on and on ..

... and never do we see

And why is this so?

It's a no-brainer.
