What is so smacking special about it that has to be more respected than anything else? I cannot think of a single thing to recommend Islam. I think it's intellectually and spiritually bankrupt, it's a bullying, savage creed. Why do I have to tolerate it and bow to it?

well, yes technically, but you have to remember Christianity only has two destinations. It's no leap at all to flip it around and show that everyone who doesn't believe in him will go to hell.

Those are the only two options in Christianity, heaven or hell. Show me otherwise if you disagree.

You never hear about any great Islamic achievements. No medical, scientific, artistic, poetic, architectural, social, or any other human achievement by Islam.
It's a enrichment-free zone. Plenty of threats coming out of Islam, but no achievements.

Why?

Does Islam have anything to do with Muslim underachievement??

Again, i know that these things happen, and that some of them seem to happen more is Muslim cultures, but again, I believe that this does not represent ths majority of Muslims.

I think we are going to have to agree to disagree on this one Soren, you believe it is endemic, I believe it is an exception to the rule. We are going round in circles, and I'm sure you have noticed too.

Ever seen the Taj Mahal? that is covered in the Koran, and is a gorgeous example of Muslims architecture. Have a look at some of the accomplishments of the Moorish people, who kept the ball rolling during the middle ages (a long time ago I know).

Every time you drink a cup of coffee or listen to a guitar, you are experiencing the residue of the Moorish culture.
