I've spent the past 20 years watching news footage of the Muslim Faithful behaving like barbarians in a dozen Middle Eastern countries, all to the shouts of "ALLAHU AKBAR!".. and then blowing people up ... and a month of setting fire to France from one border to the other ... Twin Towers ... Madrid ... London Underground ... Moscow ... Beslan ... epidemic rape in Sweden ... 20 would-be mass-murderers languishing in our Australian jails ... The Grand Mufti of Australia giving sermons in sympathy of Muslim gang-rapists in our jails ... Nine Muslim countries, Afghanistan, Iran, Mauritania, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan the UAE and Yemen, where homosexual activity carries the death penalty ... on and on and on.

And then the polls which reveal a staggering percentage of 'moderate Muslims' who privately support and sympathise with the violent ones amongst them.

Who wrote this and where did they get their information?

In trying to defend the Muslim congregation you've finally reduced yourself to the absurd and the childishly ridiculous.

I'll leave you to the others.

Catch ya.  See you next time you try and debate someone unsuccessfully.

The Quran is very clear you cannot pick and choose what parts to believe in

Again, so is the Bible

James 2:10 For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all.

2 Timothy 3:16 - All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

So all those women better shut their mouths in church or they are in direct contradiction to their holy scriptures.  Theory vs practice, not the same.

Also, in case you were unaware, there are many different thoughts on how to approach the subject of abrogation, and pretty much all controversial subjects.

If you cannot criticise Islam or leave it without getting a death penalty how can Islam be reformed?

While not the death penalty, Christians are asked to completely ostracise those who stray from the path

Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take them into your house or welcome them. 11 Anyone who welcomes them shares in their wicked work.

So chopping your head off or hanging you for apostasy is somehow comparable to being ostracised?

Is this the Islam you are so keen to defend?

Which countries have laws that explicitly target atheists

The states that forbid non- religiousness as part of anti blasphemy legislation include seven nations where atheism is punishable by death.
All 7 have Islam as the state religion,Pakistan,Saudi Arabia,Iran,Afghanistan,Sudan,Maldives and Mauritania.

As we can see moderate Indonesia throws atheists in jail thanks to their so called religious tolerance-

The ahmadi muslims are persecuted by mainstream Islam for heretical reforms, does the persecution of the ahmadi indicate Islam cannot be reformed?

How many atheists do you know who have to pretend to be muslim to avoid the harsh penalties for apostasy including chopping your head off?

How many atheists do you know who have to pretend to be christian to escape the wrath of the christian fundies?

Leftists and the Ayatollahs have a lot in common when it comes to criticism of Islam, they don't tolerate it.

Of course not.  I'm "defending" the vast majority of Muslims who don't participate in that kind of thing, Baronvonrort wrote on Nov 28th, 2013 at 12:20pm:

What, do you expect me to praise their religion for these actions?  They are reprehensible, and an affront to basic human rights like freedom of religion.

There are over one and a half billion Muslims in the world, don't judge them based on the actions of  a minority of extremists.

the more a country becomes islamic, the more extremist it becomes.

there are no extremist athiests, christians or wiccans we have anything to fear from.

And I'm sure you will of course provide ample evidence this is happening right under our noses here is Australia.

More than 1 in 50 people in this country are Muslims, and for those hundreds of thousands of people, we have a handful of incidences relating to Islamic Extremism.

A grand total of one violent protest consisting of a few dozen thugs, which was universally condemned by Australia's islamic leadership.

Countless large scale peaceful protests that happen just about every week.

Because I've met Muslims, have been friends with Muslims, and every single one I've met is not the offensive caricature you believe them to be.  None of them wanted to commit any acts of violence.

But seeing as you look at a headscarf and see a terrorist, I'm guessing you have never had a conversation with a Muslim.

Ask them about Aisha, or apostates, or abrogation, or some of the 'colourful' quotes from the koran.

they change

Oh yes indeed. Like Pavlov's dogs, the mood suddenly changes and they slip back into character at the mention of Islam and its grip upon their minds.

Ask them about the tenets in Islam that differ from Christianity. They know the question is a trap. They know they have nowhere to go except start talking about stoning homosexuals, and female adulterers, and apostates ... and how women are to cover themselves and be respectful chattels to their husbands, etc etc.

Whatever happened to the Human Rights people? We never hear them bewailing the lowly status of women in Muslim society ~ or any of the other Medieval attitudes and social values of Muslims. They reserve all their tantrums for white Christian society. Bloody hypocrites, the lot of them.

How do you know muslims only talk about homosexuality and apostates? Ive hardly met a muslim who brings up these issues.

If you going to talk about tenents, islam is abit more easy to understand. They have one God and Mohamed is the messenger.

Go and ask christians to explain to you the birth given by Mary, or how there are three gods in one but there is only one god, or how god can have a son. They would walk away from you. They cant answer you.

So every person you have ever met has been friendly?

So you have never met a unfriendly person?

What do you define as unfriendly?

Yadda to me is a unfriendly person, does that mean my other Christian friends are unfriendly?

Is it true wally that many muslim Lebanese parents tell their children to hate the society around them and take from it what they can? I had a Lebanese fellow tell me that the other day.
