If Rupert Murdoch bought the ABC, obviously there are those on the left who would be outraged.

But think of it this way. If he bought it, wouldn't it be better business-wise from his perspective to have it as a leftist media outlet? Why make it right wing when it would eat into his own market share?

The guy clearly isn't stupid and I don't see him turning the ABC right wing. So I don't understand the cry's of the left against selling the ABC, given that we are paying for something many feel is pushing leftist propaganda.

you are forgetting one very important point ... he doesn't need to worry about it eating into his share. He already has 70% of Australias media, and to give him the ABC would just about tie it all up for him. You will have forevermore as your PM whoever Murdoch likes.

Did you forget Murdoch backed Rudd in 07? He's regretted it ever since, as have a large portion of ordinary Australians.

does that in anyway excuse Murdochs abuse of his powers?

Oh, I am sorry. I forgot about the roving death squads he had for those of us who did not purchase and read his publications.

Yes dear, feel free to share the leftist propaganda with us  though I would not hold my breath. I've been asking the conga line for specific examples for years and so far not one of them has been able to provide any.

Look at the posts on this board - many feel this way.

Did I say that I thought this way in my post?n Grin Grin Grin

No sweet thing. I see you're another one that can not provide proof of ABC bias. I think we are onto something here.

Based on what?

I'll accept the "abnormal", and "weird", but what are you basing the "bat-poo crazy" on?

Absolutely not. You listen to Alan and David Oldfield.

It would be great if they could get a show on the TV. I think Alan could host a renewed Countdown.

Thoughts?

We all want to see the ABC go to News Limited, leftards, it’s only fair.

The level of journalistic integrity, corporate accountability, editorial oversight and zero-tolerance of crime  is unsurpassed. The Daily Telegraph is one of the great newspapers of the world, along with the Illawarra Mercury and the Northern Territory Times.

Not to forget the late News of the World.

You're actually supporting the argument that Murdoch already has too much influence.

Think about it.
