My first post here.

Is it just me, or are there others who question how severe his period of imprisonment really was.  Man.....if it was as bad as some describe....almost 30 years of just about total isolation............there is no human being who could ever come out of that without being a nutter.

My conclusion is, given he came out of prison spruiking as though he had never missed even one second of the 'news,' his time on that island was certainly spartan, but not in political isolation.

From what I gather, Mandela had it pretty tame compared to other prisoners. Trying to find information on this topic now.

Some people believe he died in prison in the 1980s and was replaced by a double.

Some other people (as I read on forums about time anomalies) believe that they REMEMBER him dying in the 1980s and even remember riots in South Africa upon his death. These people are still left scratching their heads as to how they remember this and believe some sort of changing of history may have taken place. Bizarre but true.

A similar incident happened with Elvis Presley.

Nothing would be what it is,
Because everything would be what it isn't.
And contrary-wise - what it is, it wouldn't be.
And what it wouldn't be, it would.
You see?

Mandela was the 'African-American' South African,
whom - after 20-odd years of chipping away at everything he knew,
he came to the conclusion that it was POLITICS itself that was ruining the Nation for all/any Races.
