Comprehension Cods - comprehension - why do conservatives have so much trouble with basic comprehension?

By the way you do remember that the Grubs promised an enquiry before the election - the families are only holding them to the promise ???

OF COURSE...they havent said a word have they?.. but you wont believe it anyway it will all be a WITCH HUNT..

14 November 2013

Master Electricians Australia (MEA) has today welcomed the Coalition’s launch of the $25m Royal Commission into the Rudd Government’s controversial pink batts program.

MEA chief executive Malcolm Richards said he was pleased to see Prime Minister Tony Abbott and the Coalition government had kept their pre-election promise to establish a full judicial inquiry into the former Federal Government’s bungled Home Insulation Program (HIP).

“The scheme was rolled out hastily without proper planning around safety, or proper consultation with industry,” Mr Richards said.

The Queensland Coroner’s report released earlier this year found warnings to the Rudd Government raising urgent safety concerns by industry had been ignored and I expect the Royal Commission will have similar findings.

“It’s essential a disaster like this is never repeated which is why we welcome this Royal Commission and are urging the inquest to not only look into what advice and warnings were potentially ignored but to also urgently examine the issue of safety switches.”

Mr Richards said Master Electricians Australia recommended regulations were put in place to make safety switches compulsory on every circuit of every home.

“Tragic incidents like the deaths under the HIP could have easily been avoided had safety switches been installed on every circuit in those homes,” he said.

you are so hell bent on krudd not being guilty...

has it occurred to you that that may be the case??? Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

he may come through this squeaky clean...

or are you more afraid it will be the reverse?

you guys from the left are hell bent on calling this a witch hunt it isnt even funny..... you have now sunk to low of using words like Grubs.. because the families dont give a damn about their sons...really its all about the Libs manipulating them into them thinking this is all about them......

so no point in even discussing anything with you... maybe yoiu would like to take it up with MEA.. who seem to think its a bloody good idea to have a ROYAL..

if you are so adamant the govt did not do a thing wrong... I would have thought this would prove it once and for all... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Yep just throw another $25 Million on the BBQ and roll out the same old result.

I will have a wee wager with you dna... IT WONT BE THE SAME RESULT...

are you up for it???

as far as I remember the coroner did find the govt had some responsibility.. not sure think he said something about RUSHED... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

so lets assume this inquiry finds it was RUSHED....then maybe someone will ask WHY/WHO was responsible for the RUSH...

and then maybe they will actually NAME those responsible for the RUSH..

the way I see it..it didnt just happen...it didnt start or end all by itself..... somewhere a human was in charge of this whole operation... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes....

that person need to be accountable... maybe it was Peter Garrett maybe he had the switch that started and stopped the whole thing.........lets find out....

if someone burnt down Parliament House and 4 people died because of it...

they would go on and on and on until they named the person that started the fire...

they would not settle for ok.. someone started it by setting fire to that  curtain...  thats it thats the end it doesnt matter who did it...move on shows over... Shocked Shocked

if it was your loved one that died I am sure you would want to know who was behind it..and I know for sure I would.. and I doubt we woulld give a stuff about what it costs and neither we should anymore than these good people should..

So what cods is saying is she is not happy with the findings to date from so many inquiries already held and she wants a witch hunt until someone from labor is held responsible. Never mind the evidence presented to her she will continue to ignore that evidence until she gets the outcome She wants.

Basically it, in a nutshell.

The finding will be that the govt implanted a plan and that they ignored qualified advice and other warnings prior to and during its implantation that the program delivery was not well designed and problematic.

Make no mistake.  It is pre-determined that Hanger will make adverse findings against the Rudd Government, and probably against Rudd and Garrett personally.  But....so what.  What will change in the World of anyone and everyone involved?

Nothing.

You need also to be aware that nothing said, for example by Rudd in the witness box at the Commission is admissable against him in any later proceedings.  The findings of the Commission are not binding on anyone, can and will be completely ignored except politically.  Just look at the absurd Cole Commission.  $70M......a zillion adverse findings against many, and not one of them subsequently had any action of any kind taken against them.

While these things make for good headlines ~ 24 hours later wrapped around fish 'n chips ~ sweet bugger all not already known will come out of it.

of course it won't, Abbott won't settle for the same result and I'm sure he has already made his views perfectly clear before deciding who would chair the enquiry.

Like the AWB enquiry cover up???

THE man who led the Australian Federal Police investigation into the AWB scandal has alleged he was offered a promotion to shut down the inquiry.

In an explosive statement lodged with the Federal Court, the former AFP agent Ross Fusca said another senior officer told him that if he could ''make the oil-for-food taskforce go away, he would be appointed as next co-ordinator''.

Mr Fusca, a 30-year AFP veteran, has declared the inquiry into the wheat marketing body was never given enough resources and was shut down prematurely.

It was a well meaning scheme that went wrong.

We may, or may not, find out whether anyone was to blame.

The answer is of course that one term tony only cares about people dying at work when he can make political mileage out of it.

no one died in Australia.  But... supporting a hard line brutal regime and going against sanctions designed to cripple that regime? Well, who cares right.

100% correct.  The ALP could have enlivened that AWU Royal Commission at the stroke of a pen.  They did not, and they should have.    The allegation by cods about digging dirt on Abbott is true.  He deserved all he got and will get.  He started that sort of poo with Hanson, continued Rudd and then Gillard.
