and yet not beserk enough to have an enquiry just because they could ......

100% correct.  The ALP could have enlivened that AWU Royal Commission at the stroke of a pen.  They did not, and they should have.    The allegation by cods about digging dirt on Abbott is true.  He deserved all he got and will get.  He started that sort of poo with Hanson, continued Rudd and then Gillard.

they should have? to what ends? it wouldn't change anything ..... just a waste of money

The dead, the dying and the severely injured mean nothing to one term tony unless he can get political mileage from their misery.
Just look at the appalling treatment of the victims of the asbestos industry by Tony and his dried up old hag Julie Bishop.
One term tony even denied Telstra the funds to clean up the extensive asbestos in their systems when he was the minister responsible.
One term tony is a joke and his supporters are complicate in his incompetence.

besides, if labor were going to do it it they had to do it when they first won office ... Turnbull was leader back then .. to do it after Abbott became leader would have shown it to be what it would have been, a witch hunt.

Is the simian going to alter the ToR of the RC into pink batts:

http://www.smh.com.au/nsw/scaffolder-who-fell-30-floors-to-his-death-not-mentore...

Young scaffolder, not supervised enough, fell thirty floors to his death.

That, and the fall of that brick wall built by Grogon Bros that killed three pedestrians should be added to the RC forthwith!

Of course—they won’t be but should be. Construction is a dangerous occupation.

Not to my surprise no reaction.

Four people dead through no fault of their own, no need to investigate if negligence caused or contributed? No hysteria from the fanbois? Don’t those families deserve “closure?”
