And AGAIN...

"There has ALREADY been more than one enquiry, INCLUDING a Coroner's enquiry.

None have given you the answer you want to hear, so you keep changing referees
in the hope one will eventually deliver what you want them to say.

It is the Coalition who's in the wrong here, not Labor or the Left.

Move on."

The righto's should be disappointed that the idiots they support have initiated a needless and useless expensive political witch hunt.

It seems that the Libs can not get past their opposition mentality and move into government mode. Probably part of the reason they have been clearly the worst new government in Australian history.

so did you have a nice Chrissy dna?? I do hope so.. though looks like you may have had a bit of indigestion..sorry.. but its till coming though loud a clear..

it isnt a witch hunt and thats cruel to those families who have asked for this. it isnt just about the Fed Govt its about the States as well..if your son was knocked down and killed by a motorist at least the driver would b e in court and charged with something.,..

these people have nothing..

I think its very offensive to those families to call it a witch hunt out of spitefulness..they dont deserve that,

It is the government using this as a political toy which is disrespectful and hurtful  to the families.

THEY HAVE ASKED FOR IT.. DNA EXPLAIN THAT?

hey dna you may have missed this one????

And when they don't get the result they want the Libs will get them to ask again and again, why not keep their misery going indefinatly.

just answer the question..

Master Electricians Australia (MEA) has today welcomed the Coalition’s launch of the $25m Royal Commission into the Rudd Government’s controversial pink batts program.

MEA chief executive Malcolm Richards said he was pleased to see Prime Minister Tony Abbott and the Coalition government had kept their pre-election promise to establish a full judicial inquiry into the former Federal Government’s bungled Home Insulation Program (HIP).

“The scheme was rolled out hastily without proper planning around safety, or proper consultation with industry,” Mr Richards said.

The Queensland Coroner’s report released earlier this year found warnings to the Rudd Government raising urgent safety concerns by industry had been ignored and I expect the Royal Commission will have similar findings.

“It’s essential a disaster like this is never repeated which is why we welcome this Royal Commission and are urging the inquest to not only look into what advice and warnings were potentially ignored but to also urgently examine the issue of safety switches.”

Mr Richards said Master Electricians Australia recommended regulations were put in place to make safety switches compulsory on every circuit of every home.

“Tragic incidents like the deaths under the HIP could have easily been avoided had safety switches been installed on every circuit in those homes,” he said.

you are so hell bent on krudd not being guilty...

has it occurred to you that that may be the case??? Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

or are you more afraid it will be the reverse?

you guys from the left are hell bent on calling this a witch hunt it isnt even funny..... you have now sunk to low of using words like Grubs.. because the families dont give a damn about their sons...really its all about the Libs manipulating them into them thinking this is all about them......

so no point in even discussing anything with you... maybe yoiu would like to take it up with MEA.. who seem to think its a bloody good idea to have a ROYAL..

if you are so adamant the govt did not do a thing wrong... I would have thought this would prove it once and for all... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

So, nearly 12 months on, what did the program deliver? Surprisingly, it appears to have made insulation installation safer (thank you to blogsite Pollytics.com for detailing this and examples of misreporting).

The Australian Bureau of Statistics reports that 61 per cent of dwellings, almost 3.2 million, had insulation in 2008, with 98 per cent of these having roof or ceiling insulation.

Officials in Garrett's department told a Senate committee hearing that the pre-program rate of installations was 65,000 to 70,000 a year, with 80 to 85 insulation-related fires a year. Roughly 30 per cent were linked to new installations, on industry estimates. The program insulated more than 1.1 million homes. If 94 fires have been linked to this, the implication is that the fire risk was roughly four times lower than before, even as the number of installations rose 15-fold.

As for the four deaths of installers, one of them through heat exhaustion and another using foil insulation that Garrett had barred from the program months earlier, they are subject to coronial inquiries. The fact is, however, that the program introduced the first national training program for installers. Remember, this is a field in which foolhardy householders have a long DIY tradition and the insulation industry had been largely unregulated. Where was the concern about safety then?

If the program has proved anything, it is that Australia abounds with shonky businesses, ''she'll be right'' tradesmen, hypocritical politicians who habitually sacrifice workplace safety on the altar of business-friendly policy, and careless, pack-hunting journalists. That, I'm afraid, is not much of a revelation at all.

I will have a wee wager with you dna... IT WONT BE THE SAME RESULT...

are you up for it???

as far as I remember the coroner did find the govt had some responsibility.. not sure think he said something about RUSHED... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

so lets assume this inquiry finds it was RUSHED....then maybe someone will ask WHY/WHO was responsible for the RUSH...

and then maybe they will actually NAME those responsible for the RUSH..

the way I see it..it didnt just happen...it didnt start or end all by itself..... somewhere a human was in charge of this whole operation... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes....

that person need to be accountable... maybe it was Peter Garrett maybe he had the switch that started and stopped the whole thing.........lets find out....

if someone burnt down Parliament House and 4 people died because of it...

they would go on and on and on until they named the person that started the fire...

they would not settle for ok.. someone started it by setting fire to that  curtain...  thats it thats the end it doesnt matter who did it...move on shows over... Shocked Shocked

if it was your loved one that died I am sure you would want to know who was behind it..and I know for sure I would.. and I doubt we woulld give a stuff about what it costs and neither we should anymore than these good people should..

So what cods is saying is she is not happy with the findings to date from so many inquiries already held and she wants a witch hunt until someone from labor is held responsible. Never mind the evidence presented to her she will continue to ignore that evidence until she gets the outcome She wants.
